Food Lion — Local services in Rural Hall

I travel frequently to North Carolina to visit my mother and siblings and always visit the nearest Food Lion, since for some reason it is my sister’s favorite store. [As now, it never will be mine] ~ We visited this Food Lion on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in Rural Hall, NC, my husband, my sister and I experienced a lack of customer service and professionalism from one employee. We were very disappointed with the lack of care for a mistake that was in Food Lion’s hands, and we were simply trying to get the price right as seen on the shelf, we were hurried and treated as though we were wrong for wanting to double-check and reassure them that we were not making up the price that we had seen. The lady decided to price the items over what we told her we saw the items priced on the shelf. ~ Unfortunately, the lady we spoke to, found it very odd that we wanted to hold the store accountable for the price shown on the shelf and no one from the staff took a minute to go and check out the prices that the items were priced on the shelf, my husband even went to the items and took a picture of the label prices and showed her the correct price and she just stated that since we already paid she couldn’t fixed the correct price. * She even spoke in a derogatory way to my sister and it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional, she made my sister feel very uncomfortable and sad. At the end we went to customer service window and waited until a young gentleman came and refunded us the over charge for the items… What a customer service...

Wouldn't give 1 star if I didn't have to just to be able to leave my review. Ordered at 4pm from food lion To go to feed my family that night because we had nothing at the house left to fix. Said I could pick up between 7 and 8pm. All of a sudden last minute they want to text me and say they rescheduled MY already paid for order for 10am tomorrow. That doesn't work! I only ordered 7 items BTW so I called the store to ask them to please allow me to pick this up even if I have to shop for it myself even informed them this was the only way I had to feed my family tonight and all I could get was I'm sorry there is nothing we can do I can pick up tomorrow or refund ur money like so my family is supposed to go without dinner because u couldn't get your workers to do there job after conforming that it would be ready at 7 and waiting until 620 to let me know u couldn't do it some of us are out here struggling and food is one thing u dont mess with u don't stop to go until 8 ur telling me u couldn't pick up 7 things in a hour and a half righttt worst customer...

What can I say it was Christmas Eve,,, and it was busy, making your way through the aisles to get to your items of choice to pick up and mark off the list was indeed a chore.. you had your speeders,, you had your slow ones that sort of look like they were there and didn't know what they were there for, and trying to find something to stick in that four-wheel extension of their personal space.. which made maneuvering through the traffic more difficult.. and then you had your chatters that either didn't have a cell phone or found out that talking in person was actually a good thing,, but all in all it was pretty good experience.. it didn't take very long to pick up the items I was there for,, and the checkout service went very well without a long wait,, so I guess I have to give foodlion a thumbs up for yesterday and,they done very well considering it's one of the busiest times of the year.. they were well-stocked and the staff was very friendly,, good job!!
