Los Jimadores — Restaurant in Rural Hall

First time, Tuesday evening. Quiet, not busy.

Food was good; carnitas could have been less dry, but carne asada was excellent. Very good service, checked on 3 times by my waitress and twice more by another staff member.

Too many chips with too little salsa! The menu says they charge for the third refill...however, it doesn't say if thats for the CHIPS or the SALSA. They DO provide a large quantity of chips, which is appreciated, but only a small amount of salsa. I can understand if they are trying to prevent waste, however. The salsa was good, flavorful with a little bite, and I loved it on my tacos. Would be nice if they offered with more heat, but I get this is NC...I grew up in southern California, so I don't mind a stronger burn... :)

Overall, very pleased, and I will be back to try a handful of other things...

I thought maybe I would guve this restaurant a try since a co-worker told me it was good. I have always judged restaurants by the appearance, location & customer reviews. I had seen quite a few bad reviews for this restaurant is why I never tried but just stepping outside of the box which I wish I never had. This was the worst Mexican food I've taste in my life. I had my son to pick me up 2 quesadillas to go & the shell of this item was so wet & lacked cheese. The ground beef was watered down, it was just slop, I threw them out because there is nothing this restaurant can ever do for me again. Now I know why I never attempt to try this horrible restaurant in the 1st place. They do not even deserve 1 star. Please stick to what you know like the best Mexican restaurant around on university beside...

We have gone to this establishment many times and had great service and even if things were expensive we would not mind because the service was great. This last visit was not the case. Restaurant was not so packed and took more than usual to order. Waiter and manager were not communicating and the manager blamed the waiter for the in discrepancies of the plate price. The plate was advertised at 18.99, the waiter did not say anything about them not serving the soup. Manager came and said that they could replace some items but never spoke the price, he said that it would be substituted, never said the price. To get the check it was a wait too, once we got it, we saw a $33 open good charge, $11 per plate. The manager was not...
