I LOVED this salon. They do such a good job with blondes. However, a recent situation left a bad taste in my mouth. My appointment was cancelled because my stylist was sick which I 1000% understood. I was super understanding and we rescheduled to Monday, which was the day before I leave for my wedding. It was all good, I got the confirmation, and then she texts me saying āsomeone else needed the appointment on Monday.ā after I had already been scheduled that day and had the confirmation. ā¦Okayā¦. Well. I donāt really no who else āneededā the appointment more considering I am a bride who is leaving the next day, but itās fine. I donāt express any negative feelings and simply ask if thereās another day she has open. She says she can fit me in Saturday before I leave instead which sounds good to me. Morning of she cancels again because her child was now sick. I was again very understanding and kind and told her I was sorry her kid was sick and that I hoped she felt better. I then asked if there was any way I could fit in Monday (mind you, I originally had that appointment before she gave it to someone else for unknown reasons). She ended up ghosting me. And not responding at all. Obviously, illness is unpredictable, but I canāt help but feel that this could have been handled better. Given my situation that it was my wedding week and literally impossible to schedule anywhere else on such short notice, she could have at least found a coworker or someone else to come in and accommodate me Saturday or Monday since I literally had to leave Tuesday. This was unprofessional to just not respond and honestly a very frustrating situation right before my wedding. Your wedding day is literally the one day where you want to look your best. I called several salons and couldnāt get an appointment anywhere so last minute until finally I told the story to a different salon in Winston and they were incredibly annoyed for me and moved mountains to be able to squeeze me in and help me out. She 2nd guessed everything I said, although I told her more then once I had, had haircuts like this many times. And the stylist across from her kept chiming in to tell my stylist her opinion on what I wanted & they'd both discuss what they think about what I wanted, which didn't help. I originally wanted a cut like one I found online, showed her the pic, when it didn't turn out the way I thought it would, we discussed a dif way to do it, but she kept in mind everything else we had discussed before, so it ended up looking like 2 dif cuts which was akward & terrible, I tried telling her a simple short bob to fix it again & it ended up looking just as terrible but even shorter, which is NOT what I wanted. Forgot to mention the most important detail......I have naturally curly hair, she straightened it & didn't keep in mind how much more it would curl up, the shorter it got. So now with my hair straight, its a few inches above my shoulders. Scared & dreading to see what it looks like curly. I hate how it sits, how it moves & the overall shape. Definately wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who has curly hair. Especially since I was placed with my stylist based on the fact that she had "alot of experience with curly hair" & has curly hair herself. I love my hairdresser, and to find out today (this morning, I got a reminder for tomorrow's appt), the new owner literally blindsided several of the hairdressers by unfairly increasing their rental rates and demanding payment immediately, or leave. This is an incredibly outrageous thing to do. In a time when life is so difficult, this owner has ruined any chance for me and others to return to this salon. I WON'T RETURN! Forcing out 4 girls using this kind of tactic is bad business ten-fold! If I could, I would give NO stars.
