I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. As someone who has traveled extensively throughout the USA in search of an authentic Italian dining experience, I can confidently say that this restaurant stands head and shoulders above the rest. I arrived around 1:05pm on a Saturday afternoon with my son. A co worker met me there. There was supposed to be a group of us, but only one more co worker came. When we got in, it wasn’t busy and was able to pick own table.

The waitress came over promptly and took drink order. I got a sweet tea and got my son a water. The sweet tea was good. It took a little bit for the waitress to return to place our order. We had a class to attend at 2pm. Our order was placed order at 1:22pm. I saw the waitress with a handheld device where she entered the order as we were saying it. I ordered mozzarella sticks (12pc) and garlic knots as an appetizer. For my entree, I got the chicken Alfredo.

The mozzarella sticks arrived at 1:31pm. The garlic knots arrived a minute or two later. They were both fresh and delicious. The entrees came at 1:37pm. My son wanted bbq sauce and they brought him some. The chicken Alfredo was kind of bland. It needed some seasoning, in my opinion. Salt and pepper helped with that. The bread it came with was cold.

Teamwork was definitely demonstrated throughout our visit but the frequency of stopping by to check in wasn’t that well. They have aluminum trays and regular foam boxes to take food to go. The staff was friendly and appeared hardworking. I...

I'll just say that I may take a while before returning to give them another try. I placed my order online. You'd assume that the price charged would be correct. Apparently not, not a huge deal, but it didn't sit well in my spirit when the lovely hostess added to my already charged credit card when I arrived for pick up. Moving on....I wasn't totally blown away by the appearance or taste of the meal. It looked and tasted hastily thrown together. In all fairness, it was during a bustling lunch rush. Maybe, I'll venture to enjoy a "sit down" lunch or dinner in the beautiful establishment. By the capacity-filled dining room, I'm sure, there has to be something delicious on the menu.

Update to previous review... My coworkers chose Little Italy today for our group lunch. We ordered for pickup and everyone was more than pleased. I had what was probably the best roast beef sub I've ever tasted from anywhere else. Loaded with meat, fresh veggies, and oil and vinegar, thoughtfully packaged on the side to allow me to use as much or little as I wanted. The hot chips were also great. Not many places can get fresh fried chips right. These were crisp and delicious. I'll definitely give more...
