Frank’s Kitchen tl;dr - Delicous, would return any day of the week.
My partner and I moved to the area recently and discovered this little spot in a small commercial strip in Rural Hall. Frank’s kitchen, a family-owned local brunch spot has brought nothing but deliciousness to me, my family, and friends who have had their food.
As a Mexican-American, I can say that the “Little Piece of Mexico” Menu does not disappoint. Their traditional American breakfast menu is wonderful and definitely a tier above the average, but the real hidden gem is their mexican menu.
Incredible authentic mexican food with traditional dishes that are rarely shared in the US mexican food industry, such as Pozole, Chilaquiles, and Menudo. These dishes are things you would only find at family gatherings for the Holidays, but Frank’s Kitchen shares these delicacies with us every week.
I cannot say enough about their Chilaquiles. The explosion of flavor is undeniably good. The house made salsa poured over the tortilla chips with perfectly cooked eggs to your preference an addition to the traditional rice, beans, and Mexican crumbled cheese, topped with red onions for that extra flavor profile. If you’re looking for some more heat, they have their homemade red and green hot sauce to add to the dish.
Frank, muchas gracias por traer el amor de nuestro paiz acá. Toda la familia que trabaja aquí son increíbles y muy amorosos.
Voy a seguir hablando sobre su restaurante a todos...
Read moreStopped here on a whim on our way home to Maryland. We were pleasantly pleased with everything. Frank’s had a quaint diner feel. It was clean and cutely decorated for the holiday season. Even the employees and cooks each wore adorable headbands. The waitress, the daughter of the owners, was our waitress. She seated and served us quickly. She was extremely kind and thorough. Food was brought out hot and we dug in. My friend order breakfast (they serve it all day) and I had the AB Burger- it was DELICIOUS! A little messy on the underside, but it was worth it! Fries were crinkled with a slight seasoned salt, but they were a perfect side to the burger. My friend devoured the pancakes. She also got home fries, which were large diced potatoes with an interesting red seasoning. We weren’t sure what it was- she thought it tasked like tomatoes, which she isn’t a fan of. I tried them and wasn’t quite sure. A little bit of salt and I would have eaten them, but my burger was too good to ignore. Prices were great! We were offered a drink to go so we had to be sure to HIGHLY recommend to anyone local or passing by. They have only been open 4 months, but it feels like they have been doing it forever- food is great and they have their...
Read moreI moved to Rural Hall in the summer of 2024 with my boyfriend. We did what most people do when they move somewhere new: we looked up places to try near our apartment. My boyfriend is Mexican-American, and when we saw that there was a restaurant offering both a Mexican menu and a diner-style menu, we were intrigued. Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We soon started bringing our friends every weekend. It was a place that guaranteed good food, good people, and good prices. We all started writing Google reviews, which is not something we usually do, but we enjoyed our experience there so much that we just had to share it. We were even featured on Instagram for our reviews and got to speak with the owners and staff. The service is always efficient, the food is consistently delicious, and their range of food options is comprehensive. Some of my favorites from eating there throughout the year include: • Pozole • Huevos con Chorizo • Chilaquiles • Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit • Chicken and Waffles • and much, much more! Thank you, Frank and family, for giving us a place to spend time with friends and enjoy delicious food. My boyfriend and I are moving away this week, and we will miss this...
