SORA Japanese restaurant — Restaurant in Rural Hall

We are doing some renovations around the house and did not want to stop and cook so we decided to order from SORA Japanese Restaurant in Rural Hall through DoorDash. The food came quickly but, when it arrived, it was not our order. The dasher had just left so I called her. She quickly passed the buck and told me to take it up with DoorDash. If you’ve hung with me this far, stick around a little longer. I decided to call the restaurant and I no sooner got my name out of my mouth, I was given an apology. They were already in the process of remaking my order and even delivered it to me. They told us to enjoy the food we’d gotten by mistake and even brought us some spring rolls for the trouble. You rarely if ever get this type of customer service in today’s world. People usually pass the buck and look to blame someone else. Sora took full responsibility and continued to apologize throughout the entire phone call. On top of this awesome customer service experience they have amazing food. I had the pleasure of dining at SORA JAPANESE RESTAURANT for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service was top-notch.

Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely delicious! The steak Hibachi a standout dish and Sweet Tea was packed with flavor, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into each dish. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented.

It’s clear that the owner Kenny and his Wife has poured their heart into this place, and it shows in every detail, from the décor to the menu. i don’t usually review places but i had to review this place. i am a truck driver from houston texas. when i am home i try to eat sushi/japanese food at least once. this place caught my eye after i took a lyft down to the smoke shop to restock on vape supplies, so i decided to give it a shot as food on the road can be very bland and repetitive. food quality is great, affordable & up to par. if this place was near a college campus they would be killing it! the owners are very friendly and treated me kindly. one of the owners kenny even gave me a ride back to the truck stop after i finished my meal! thank you for your kindness, i never forget things like that. i’ll make sure to try to stop here every time i come through town and if you haven’t tried this place you are definitely...
