Regrettably leaving a bad review after a mediocre experience here. I recently moved to this area hoping to try some good chinese food from the local spot, I Walked in yesterday evening for take out for my family. I should of known to leave immediately after walking up to the counter and both cooks had no face coverings so this was the first sign of a bad experience to come. Idk if I was being judged based off my appearance or what from the guys first impression of me as he looked me up and down (I was wearing work clothes from landscaping.) But he was extremely impatient and rude to me as I tried to explain what I wanted to order from the menu. He walked away as I tried to tell him my order so I used the brief intermission to look over the menu more extensively to see all the options they had. The woman in the prep area came up and asked "can I help you?" And I replied "I'd like to place an order please." And she kept saying "what?" Repeatedly As if she couldn't understand me; I get it that there could be a language barrier but this was frustrating to me because I was very clear about what I wanted and felt slighted by this. Not until I put the cash in her hand after making a 40 dollar order did I get any kindness from the server. So I sat and waited in the corner with my mask on for my food. 3 different customers came in to order not wearing masks showing me that the owner does not enforce any state guidelines for face coverings it was very selfish of everyone envolved not thinking of others. After over a half an hour wait I finally get my food and head home, I live very close by. The lo mein was very greasy and mushy. the noodles had no integrity very soft and no chew. I ordered some teriyaki chicken on a stick that was not tender and juicy like I hoped it would be. the sticks were dry almost like jerky. my wife likes egg rolls so I ordered her some and she complained they were mushy in the center also. The general tso's chicken seemed to be the only decent thing either of us bit into but even my white rice was a little mushy but my wife seemed to like the fried rice. Terrible experience , I wasted my time, and money. I have no intention on going back...
Read moreI used to love this place but since the pandemic she has raised her prices tremendously. I always order the salt and pepper shrimp because is the ONLY place that makes this dish. It was $10. Now it's $15 same serving size same amount of shrimp. I always call ahead and she always says 20 minutes. My last visit I waited an hour. I know that she waited until I arrived to start my ordered. I would not recommend if you want something fast. The wait times are insane and the price for Chinese is almost as much as...
Read moreHands down, this is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Forsyth/Stokes counties!!! I'm super picky about my Lo Mein and they are the only place that CONSISTENTLY has amazing, fresh, perfectly seasoned, tender Lo Mein noodles. Anytime I eat at any other Chinese restaurant, I always think " this just isn't as good as Golden Wok.". The food is always made fresh to order, so there's a small wait...but the food is piping hot and delicious! I love their General Tso's, I order it not so spicy and it's perfect every...
