Conveniently located in Valley Park Center on East Main Street is Belk’s department store your primo destination for quality Men’s clothing. This is always my go to place for jeans and shirts but I must admit I have the app downloaded and I am notified when there is a sale. They have a great line of jeans called true something or another and recently was buying them for $25. but now I think there on reduction at $20. They also run big so if your tubby they will make you feel good about wearing a smaller size. Of course you find the best sales here by buying summer in winter and winter in summer.A little tip for all the bellyachers about size, if you find a sale item that is not in your size take a picture of the item and the stock number on the tag then go to the app and see if it is available for shipment to the store, this shipping should be free , sometimes they won’t ship if the item is 70% or more or the item has gone terminal. The commentary is correct on mens shoes, lotsa missing sizes , only smaller sizes and narrow widths that will crucify your feet, much better to go to Shoe Carnival. ( see my review please) Now the department that has the most opulence is housewares and homewares great looking dishes , china etc. Lotsa cooking sets , utensils. Really nice air fryer ovens and toaster ovens for your kitchen. My review would be incomplete without a nod to their vast selection of bedding, comforter sets and pillows. Also they carry some high end towel sets that would make your bathroom complete. A large selection of gift ideas for the new home or an upgrade. This location should just remove the entire Men’s Department. Could not find a single Employee in the Men’s Department! I came in looking for Men’s Dress Shoes. Of course I hadn’t been to this Belk in a while and I went to where the shoe section USED to be. Now that section is Exclusively Women’s Shoes. There was a register and two hardworking Employees helping Female customers. I had to ask where the Men’s shoes were. Apparently they have their own section now. I finally find the Men’s shoes and it is downright pitiful. The displays, if you would even call them that, are poorly set up and are at a very minimum count. There is NOT a register. There are not employees running the section. The boxes are just thrown on shelves without any particular order. It was downright ridiculous. I guess I’ll just drive 40...

Good prices and large selection of clothes and gift ideas. Now for the bad. I know times are tough, but as a former general manager for a competitor of yours: train better. You have kids "Trying" to control theft but are terrible at it. They are costing you money. I was in there one day (I'm 50 and typically wear slacks and polo's) this week and had two people following me around the store while I shopped. Instead of taking my time and finish shopping I grabbed 1 shirt and checked out. I would've spent more but I found myself getting angry about being insulted in such a manner.
