Ruined my custom-made engagement ring. My fiancè and I went back to Baldwin Jewelers after purchasing a custom emerald cut engagement ring with a lab diamond as well as a vintage natural diamond wedding band that matched. First off, we did not get the ring we requested upon ordering the custom engagement ring because the engagement ring could not sit flush with the band we picked out. We returned to the jewelers to try to have this resolved when one the men took the engagement ring from us and WITHOUT ASKING OR CONSULTING OUR OPINION, shaves down one side of the white gold prongs holding my biggest diamond. The setting looked horrible after that, and still will not sit flush with the wedding band. My family will never give another dime to Baldwin. We went in to get options, not to have them shave it down in less than two minutes without asking, measuring, or really caring. Now we will be forced to pay for a new setting to replace the botched one. Baldwin also had no response when we confronted them about shaving the prongs without our asking.
