Bad service. Average food. Visited w/ 3 adults and 1 child. 2 people ordered the appetizer sampler as a meal. Waitress came back and said that they were out of fried mushroom and to pick something else to substitute. They chose the fried tomatoes and fried pickles. Waitress left then came back and said substitution had to be something already on the sampler. Makes no sense. It wasn't our fault that they were out of fried mushroom. All 3 adults orders a salad. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce and a single cherry tomato cut in half. It might have been the worst excuse I've ever seen for a salad. Since they said that we couldn't substitute fried tomatoes into the appetizer sampler we went ahead and ordered them separately. They came out after we were finished with the "salads" and we had to wait on the waitress to come back by to ask for plates and forks to eat the tomatoes on. After we finished out first round of drinks the waitress came and asked us if we wanted more. She then left the beers sitting on the bar for 5 min at which time I got up and went and grabbed them off the bar myself to serve the table (no one tipped me though). When the rest of the food comes out, both appetizer samplers were missing the extra items that were supposed to be substituted in for the missing mushrooms and one of them was missing the meat pies. Not only can the kitchen not count, the waitress obviously did care enough to check the orders. If you only serve fair to average food, service has to be good. You can't serve mediocre food with bad service and expect anyone to come back to...

Warning!: they dont deserve your money or time. Accused of going behind bar and cursing out employee by owner OVER PHONE WHILE EATING. 0 stars if I could. Had Reservation. Missed phone call. Called back after I grabbed phone to answer. Told them we are 10 minutes away. No problem. Got there and they gave away seats. "People at bar that answered phone didn't tell us so it will be 20 minute wait." "I understand just miscommunication" Still fine at this point. 45 minutes later I decide to go in. "How much longer. We have 6 children and it's been 80 minutes sine reservation. We have no problem leaving we come back tomorrow. She replies with a nasty attitude "we can't make people leave." At this point she got me upset. "What's your owners name so when they call me I'll know. I believe he should know what's going on. This behavior isnt right." Another waitress very nice I may add at that point directed us to be seated. She took our drinks and order. Came out with appetizers. Very lovely lady. At this point we are eating and my BIL gets phone call from owner. "You need to leave. Cops will be called. Going behind bar is unacceptable and cursing" there's 6 children here. we did not curse. Manager that was rude did. If this is how they treat people the food wasn't worth it. Don't waste your time or money. My BIL spends a ton of money at this place. Eats pretty regularly. Family almost daily. he recommended it to us. Not any more. Definitely deserve apology. I thought he was calling us while eating at his restaurant to...

So we are in Ruston Louisiana playing baseball this weekend. I asked a friend who used to live there where we should go eat. He said hands-down you have to try this restaurant.

So after a hot day of baseball, we decided to head on over to try this restaurant. The wait was not too long, and after about 30 minutes we were seated.

We ordered the boneless chicken wings for the boys to dive into because they were starving, and the Boudin balls.

Boneless chicken wings were as expected. So really no need to review those. The Boudin balls arrived, and I was shocked at the number of balls, we were served! The order came with a lot of boudin balls. They had some great spice to them. Just enough heat to let you know you aren’t in Kansas anymore!

Entrees ordered.

Apparently, my son had not ever eaten crawfish étouffée, so he ordered a big plate of it. I think he enjoyed it because there was only a few bites left. Luckily my kids like to try new things all the time. Brax gave this two thumbs up!

I ordered the stuffed catfish, and let me tell you that was one of the best dishes I’ve eaten in a while. The catfish was fried perfectly, the crawfish étouffée they put on top and all over the catfish was like a flavor bomb going off in my mouth. We all enjoyed our meals and would gladly come back and eat it again and again.

The biggest surprise of the night was Piper our server! She was amazing. Our drinks were never empty and she always was stopping by to make sure we were taken care of. Best service I have...
