Should have been Ruston Peach Festival I had been wanting to go to the Louisiana Peach festival for years . This year I have been volunteering for the festivals in this area and asked if they needed some help . They put me to work - but this is about the festival . The gates opened officially at 9 am and there was Peach everything . They even had Peach ice cream from Blue Bell (the best ice cream in the country) . There was an artist area with cypress knee art , things sewed , painting (including face), and so much more . There was a stage with music all day and other musicians in various parts of the festival grounds . Food trucks and stands and tents where they sold many peach flavored dishes . How would you like a peach taco and a peach funnel cake ? The weather was pretty hot (low 90s)but we had a little shower that cooled things down . I left around 6:30 and the festivities were really just getting started !

Easy parking ,good vendors , good vibes ( live music). Everyone was kind , there was a good variety of things to buy. My only complaint would be I actually wish there was more booths to choose from, so a bigger market ... However , that just might be a side effect from me being originally from Texas ( I am use to everything being grand) . I ended up buying a $5 jar of pickles, a $3 watermelon and a $8 homemade skin moisturizer.

This place has a lot of local businesses to showcase. Everyone is so nice and most booths offered samples of thier products. They had everything from fresh vegetables, to a tea station, deserts, wood working, fresh cuisine, honey, eggs, meat, soaps, candles, and preserves. I was impressed and I bought this beautiful wood platter.

Great outing for a Saturday morning! Many different types of vendors and all focused around the idea of promoting a creative and healthy lifestyle. Having the majority of vendors inside the building is fantastic to help with weather issues while hot food-trucks outside provide a few delicious options for brunch. Edit: the market has continued to grow and have to give it five stars! Vendors keep getting better and diverse. STILL...the indoor rooms could be better utilized for kids play and classes. I feel prices can be significantly higher than local grocers who actually carry local produce as well - in some cases the exact same vendors. No change in stars but as the economy changes I'll be paying more...

Finally made our first visit here and we will definitely be back. They had so many local vendors there to buy from. Some we already know from buying at local stores, but plenty we met for the first time. Want a beautifully crafted cutting board, here is where you need to go. Obviously there were plenty of produce farmers and some meat producers as well. There are even some great juices and T shirts available from other vendors. Don't wait as long as I did, support these folks as soon as...
