I'm a little late with my review of Camille's, a yellow ray of sunshine secondhand shop. It's in Rutland, Vermont. When you come through the door, there are products strewn about on the walls, in glass storage cases, on racks, and on top of racks. This is a unique clothes store with a lot to offer. You can go through their selection of shoes and accessories to add to your collection. However, in the clothes sections, you will find treasures with huge variety of brand names items, as well as vintage treasures and one-of-a-kind goods. I notice pricing in the shop that range from $1.00 to $100.00 dollars. Allowing a customer to enter with $20 and exit with many items. They also have a program in place where if you bring in goods that you no longer want in your closet, they will take them and put them on the rack to be sold. If they sold it, you would receive a percentage and they would receive a proportion. In my opinion, it's a win-win situation. The shop offers a welcoming atmosphere that you don't always find. You can take your time and look, and you can try on as many products as you like without bothering the personnel. The shop's proprietors are pleasant people who go above and above in terms of customer service. I highly recommend that you visit Camille's Consignment Store, in Rutland, Vermont. You will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot great for sellers. Compared to other places I've been, it seems crowded and cluttered, more like a thrift store vibe. Also, unlike others, they don't call you to give you the option to come get your stuff if it doesn't sell, so you have no verification of what may or may not have sold and can't try to do anything else with it. (You have to call them to find out, but in my experience, I wasn't told when my stuff would be put out, just to keep checking back. Not knowing when that would be, I was too late; my stuff was gone.)
My recommendation would be to have fewer consignors so that the stuff that is there is easier to see and spotlight. And perhaps to put things out closer to their season. (I consigned a fur coat in August. My...

The new(ish) owners have done a great job updating the layout and inventory. It is super shoppable, organized, with room to browse clothing on the racks. Sizing is well done (always a challenge in a second hand market) and clearly labeled. And the prices are delicious for this frugal girlie. My husband loves the selection of menās clothing, too. I have never left empty handed. James, Jadziah, and staff knock it out of the park. And I appreciate the switch to curtains in the change rooms for increased privacy! Keep it up, check it out, Iāll be back and...
