You know, I love going out for a good yogurt about once every 2 weeks and trying new places. What I found is a lot of these places really limit their selection and then serving these tart flavors I don't care for. So today I wanted a good wholesome traditional flavored yogurt and I'm done with all those other places. I've been all over the Sacramento Arden area in the last few months looking for a really good yogurt place, but they all left me feeling let down. So I got on my phone and did a search and found Menchie's. It was easy to find and easy to get to and plenty of parking. I think the reason I put off coming here before is, I was looking for something in the Arden area and Menchie's is in Campus Commons area at the southeast corner of Fairoaks Blvd and Howe Ave. It really isn't that far, had I known then what I know now, I'd drove clear cross Sacramento for this yogurt. OMG the flavors, milk chocolate, chocolate with Carmel, Hersey's and almonds, vanilla and more with toppings and waffle cones. It's self serve with one size large bowl. So fill it up, top it off or go lite, life is good, It's up to you. Im a traditional guy and I like traditional flavors, and for me I think I'm going to call this yogurt place (Menchie's) home for a while. The owner served me today and he's a very nice and talkative guy that's eager to tell you all about his yogurt and how healthy his yogurt is compared to all the others yogurts out there. While we were talking I had to smile, because he he reminded of a dad that just became a proud father. He had me sold. As I sat there eating my milk chocolate and vanilla yogurt with almonds, I watched him go out of his way to meet and intertwine with his customers. I had the feeling I was the only one there for the first time, because everybody else seem like old friends, or maybe that's how he makes everyone feel. I highly recommend the...

In some misguided plan, they NO LONGER “pump” for you, allowing patrons to not only dispense their own, but allow them to stand there unmasked trying samples. I know there is hand sanitizer there, but I also know from experience how few people use it, and use it properly. Just having unmasked people handling the yogurt, sanitizer or not, is an unacceptable risk. That, combined with having to run a “gauntlet” of closely-spaced tables full of unmasked people laughing, talking, and eating yogurt, made this a non-starter for me. After many years and many cities, Menchies has lost my business for good. I hope it is worth it to them to ignore the health and well-being of their customers.
4 weeks ago: I stopped by on my way to work tonight. I decided before I went in that if people were still touching the machines I’d walk right out again. No worries! They had it nailed, courteously asking what flavors I wanted and showing me how much they put in (doing it for me), and the same for toppings. Menchies is STILL the best frozen...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I got sandwiches from Melty right next door and sat at one of the outside tables with umbrellas, not realizing they were actually tables for Menchie's. An older man (the owner maybe?) came out and said we were sitting at a Menchie table, so of course he was now forced to give us some free samples ❤️ this was about 30 mins before they opened as well and he went to another group too at a Menchie table, and even gave a couple sitting at an outdoor Melty table free samples too. We tried the sugar-free pineapple and it was surprisingly firm and tasty!
Of course after we finished our sandwiches, we had to get some froyo. Their froyo selection is on the smaller side, but the flavors are unique and the toppings are plentiful, definitely the best selection I've seen for those. I finally found a great froyo spot and I'm...
