I wish I could give this place 0 in stars. I got carne asada fries and horchata. The horchata was good but oh my god the carne asada fries were 🤢. Let’s begin to dissect what was wrong. The meat was lukewarm, it seemed as if they had meat laying around and tossed it in the microwave for 10 seconds and onto the plate. Second, the “salsa” bar and salsas they had on the actual fries had NO flavor. The salsa was sour and super runny. Third of all the cheese that was on the fries were half melted. It looked like shredded cheddar that was made for quesadillas. The fries themselves were also lukewarm. I did not go during “rush-hour” so there was no excuse for any of this food to be so low in temperature. I got sick the day after and im pretty sure it was from this place! I do not know why this place has a 4 star and above rating. The staff is rude, the food is disgusting and...
Read moreI was looking forward to ordering a burrito at Chando's down the street but was warned by the cashier that it would be a 30 minute wait. I was not about to stand outside with nowhere to sit with the noise of the cars whizzing by just for a burrito that at $15 is not worth the wait. Still under the spell of eating Mexican food, I jumped in my car and hit google maps for alternatives. Lucky for me, El Forastero was less than a mile away. That turned out to be a great decision because I walked into a nearly empty restaurant and a friendly cashier waiting to take my order. I order a fajita style street taco and another regular chicken taco to go. Both were delicious with fresh veges and meat cooked just right and generous portions. Oh yea, and a fresh salsa bar with a free bag of chips to take with me. All of this with a small horchata to go...
Read moreGoodluck eating here! 11 dollars for a chicken fajita super burrito? Well I am going to knit pick this burrito because for 11 dollars in the ghetto of Sacramento the chicken should be GOLD plated at the very least. I ordered a super burrito from the menu in store. It came to be 1 dollar more than the board price. I asked why and she said it's more for that meat. Nowhere on the menu does it I dictate this as I looked 3 times. She was rude about it as well. The burrito was sub standard lacking in fajita taste and a bit too salty as I am at this point. So needless to say if I'm paying that much on a damn burrito it had better be made correctly. Oh yeah did I mention all the low lifes and transients hanging out with trash strewn from hell to breakfast? Goodluck if you decide to eat here. I will never...
