Purchased 3 new appliances and that process was normal and easy...Paid to have the items delivered to our home and that is where it all went sideways. TEMCO the delivery company IS OWNED by Home Depot. They did arrive within the 4 hour window that they provided at 8pm the night before.
Don't be fooled these are NOT professional delivery people they hire, these are bodies that fill positions within a company.
They got the refrigerator into the front door with a dolly, placed the appliance on the floor in an extremely hard manner, pushed the dolly off to the side and proceeded to SPIN the refrigerator, that is only meant to roll backwards and forwards and put very large dents and gouges in our heart pine flooring.
The other 2 appliances were done in an OK manner.
And to top the delivery off they left all the packaging material with us too!
As the industry says all prior experiences can be ruined by the last mile of service, in this case it was obliterated.
Looking forward to the nicely worded canned response from customer service about how they are sorry that they did not meet our expectations, we'll look into this, We appreciate your feedback. This helps us improve your experience in our stores.
Please pick a good one from the pile of platitudes - THD Customer Care Team. Maybe that will fix the floor for us!
Reviews for Temco, which handles deliveries and installations for Home Depot, are generally negative, with complaints about low pay, long hours, poor working conditions, lack of organization, and a high turnover rate, with many employees citing that the job is not worth the stress and demands placed on them; most criticisms are focused on the company's treatment of delivery drivers and installers. Key points from reviews: Low pay for demanding work: Many employees report feeling underpaid for the amount of work required, including long driving distances, multiple deliveries/installs per day, and dealing with heavy appliances. Unorganized management: Several reviews mention issues with poor scheduling, lack of clear communication, and inconsistent work availability. Unpleasant working conditions: Some drivers complain about unsanitary conditions in warehouses, particularly when dealing with returned appliances. High turnover rate: Due to the challenging work environment, many employees leave the...

I had to return a medicine cabinet I bought a few months ago and they would only give store credit and not a refund even though I had already replaced the one I was returning with an identical one that is surface mount instead of recessed. When my contractor opened the wall there was a pipe in the wall so it couldnāt be installed as a recessed cabinet. Not to mention I bought a few other expensive items there in the last few months. Itās just a hassle dealing with those cards they give you for store credit.
Additionally, I bought a $900 mirror there for the remodel a few months ago that I picked up at the store and when I opened the package at home it was broken into a million pieces - so basically they gave me an already broken mirror to take home. Then I had to pay a helper to return it to store in his truck just because it was easier than trying to fit it in my car again. They didnāt do anything to compensate me for the time and inconvenience.
Update: while their corporate policies regarding returns are horrible and apparently because of the corporate policies, the employees and not even the manager are able to override what the computer allows them to do, the manager I dealt with there was helpful and tried everything he could to help me with the issue I had even though he was limited in what their computer system allows. I do believe he was being genuine and legitimately trying to help and they werenāt being disingenuous when they said they canāt override what the computer system allows them to do. Main issue is they gave me a store credit for what i bought online and then the store credit was not valid to purchase online, only valid in store, when the things I needed were only online. A huge mess though regarding their corporate system with returns...

At the checkout the person at the register according to the receipt their name is Courtney. I presented my Florida Driverās license that shows āVeteranā Now the previous 2 days I went to the same location and my Veteran status was acknowledged, as many times previous to my visits there. The cashier proceeded to tell me per management policy they can only accept veteran ID card that show current/active or retired veteran's cards not a DL. So, am I taking those military members that donāt retire do not get acknowledged as a veteran per Home Depot?
In August 2011 Gov Rick Scott signed a house bill 1165 in accordance to allow our FLDL to identify us veterans.
Gov. Rick Scott signed House Bill 1165 to recognize and honor Florida veterans who honorably served their nation, by adding a veteran designation to their driver license or identification card, for those who live in the Sunshine State. āThe new feature gives veterans an easy way to show proof of their veteran status, which is not always an easy task,ā said Carroll. At a news conference, hosted by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles at its headquarters in Tallahassee, Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll said the new feature on the driver license is just one way the state can show appreciation to military veterans. āThe Department is honored to provide this service to our military veterans as a way to show our gratitude for their service to our nation,ā Jones added. To add the āVā to a license or ID card, veterans can visit any Florida driver license office, to include those operated by county tax collectors. They should plan to: present their DD- 214, which shows their honorable discharge from active duty and pay a...
