Tonight I had the worse experience that I never had before. I have been purchasing goods at the St Augustine location at 1795 US 1 SOUTH for almost 17 years. My family and I use this store every time we need something, especially when Holidays, as we find very good quality gift. Tonight it was horrible time when paying, the cashier was very rude, unprofessional and unkind. I asked why she was so rude and her answer was sarcastically I am not, I am trying to help which she did not. Her name is Laura E. I was buying a sunglasses for my granddaughter who was waiting in the car for me, the sunglasses I wanted for her it was a little bit damage when another cashier was taking off the alarm? (The dispositive that the store put on items) so I had to come back to the shelf to pick up a different one. I grab a few sunglasses and while at the cashier I mentioned earlier, I was undecided which one to take, I was under the impression that she was in a rush and made me feel very uncomfortable. I did proceed and told her which one I was going to pay, as always I select email and print receipts, very unfortunately she extended her hand to the site where the screen is and cancel with her hand my selection, I asked why she did that to which she responded I do not have control in your email, I said of course you do not, it was my choice and my right to decide which type of receipt I wanted, she printed my receipt, handle it to me and when I was leaving her register she look at the other cashier and said literally in front of them and in front of the other customers “Oh my gosh” and moved her head front left to right. This was very embarrassing, she does not know if those customers know me, and this was very offensive. You Store need customers like me and my family, the competition outside is brutal; especially with Amazon that is making so difficult for stores like the ones that had recently closed. You need good, professional, kind and nice associates to keep the stores open. So I stopped trying on clothes but got the first 2 items and had a cart full of other goods went to check out 2 lanes open line was wrapping around women’s clothing. The 2 gals kept asking for help on the intercom. Nobody came so I went 2 ladies asking for management one said “ what do you need” I said this has got to be the worst and rude store I’ve ever seen. She actually argued with me that there was only one woman in the dressing rooms. I said no there was two. Our cashier seemed new, and was not sure how to do a call back, and she asked another employee Laurie who was also working the counter behind her to assist. Laurie was very rude to us, and very condescending to the other employee asking questions. Not quite sure why Laurie was so rude, and condescending, but it was very disrespectful to both our cashier and myself.
