Update: Last review over a year ago. Folks, they have stepped up the game. They allow you to list your name online. They didn't have a choice for the group size we were going to drop on them. We called ahead, with the understanding that they do no reservations and first come first served. We just wanted them to be aware we were on the way as the dinner hour was winding down. This was last night, Saturday the 27th of March 2021, When we arrived the hostess, took a deep breath and asked us to give her a minute. Moments later the manager arrived and we had a brief conversation on how flexible we wanted to be so they could assist in accommodating us. The man was the consummate professional and, after a very brief check and conversation, had us on the way to be seated. Then, he made (the best possible) call to place is in the, far beyond capable, hands of delightful lady named Gianna. We already knew what kind of food to expect which, is of course, why we were there. Calling Gianna a great server doesn't set the bar high enough by any stretch of the imagination. This amazing individual took on our group of nine without even flinching. Even though we tried not to be too demanding, we all had our individual expectations. She LISTENED, then, quite patiently confirmed that she was very clear on what we desired. Further, she took each individual and and tried to ascertain if there was anything, she could possibly do, to make their experience better. This was from her first point of contact up to and including our departure. Our "gang" has been blessed to eat in top notch, five star restaurants world wide. We all stopped once outside the facility and had little to talk about (no small feat) other than the service we received. It seems we tried to tip in accordance with the service Gianna and the rest of their team provided. I'm certain we fell short but, we really couldn't swing a new home on such short notice. I know this, magnificent young lady, has plans for her life outside the food service industry. I've no doubt, that will be their loss and, an awesome gain to those she will provide for in the future. Gianna will, undoubtedly, be a blessing to all who come in contact with her in her new profession going forward. Longhorn, your future loss will be the world's gain. Gianna, please just keep doing you. You're a "honey butter" beacon of light now and for the future. May God bless you in all that you do.
Previous review follows: They kill it every time. It's clean, reasonable value. Nothing is over-priced. All the staff are warm and friendly. To me this means they hire good people. Charity and Tammy have always provided the best of service. Sure it's a chain, but you'd never know it. Give them a try. If your expectations are even remotely reasonable you won't be disappointed. Other similar type and price point restaurants in this area don't...
Read moreCame to dinner for my birthday with a party of 12. We called three times earlier that week to make sure it was okay for us to sit together. We were told all three times that it would be fine. We show up, the Assistant manager John told my husband that there’s only 6 to a table. Fine. No problem. I then asked to at least please try to have us in the same section. He had an attitude, and told me it would be an hour wait. I once again said that was okay and thank you. Then, when I asked if I should give him our phone number he replied “it’s going to be an hour wait” again. “Okay, fine. Can I get the buzzer or can I give you my number?” He finally took my number after contemplating if he even had the time to deal with me. My mother came inside a while later after I told her how we were going to be seated, and she talked to a female hostess Alyssa, and she said it would be 10 minutes and that we would be sat close together. Not sure what happened in the 2 minutes of me speaking to the assistant manager but it worked out fine. We sat down but a few members in our party didn’t show up so when we asked the Manager Eddie, he offered to sit us at a table where we were all able to sit together. Our waitress Bethany helped us by getting our drinks while we waited for the table to become available and even got our appetizers. The NASTY WITCH hostess Alyssa, was directly behind me when we sat down at our new table (once again, thanks to the Management Eddie) I turned around to thank her for being nice and helpful to my mom earlier. I asked her name and she snapped “Why”. I thought I had misheard her. “I asked what your name is?” Once again she snapped “Why”. And turned her back on me. My husband tried to get her attention and she completely ignore him. The only saving grace we had was our server Bethany who was very nice and even said that Alyssa wasn’t a very nice girl, and that not for us to worry about her, but to enjoy our meal. Alyssa has no right to speak to anyone like that. I was turning around to thank her for her help. And she acted like that. It’s not the first time we’ve had problems with nasty hostess’ there. Bethany would be the ONLY reason I would ever consider...
Read moreI’ve always considered LongHorn Steakhouse a reliable place for a good meal, but after my recent experience, I’m seriously reconsidering that.
I ordered a steak expecting a hot, freshly cooked meal—but what I got was a cold plate of food. Not just slightly warm—cold. I let our waitress know, and she took it back to the kitchen. At that point, I was still hopeful the issue would be resolved properly.
When the food came back out, I was stunned. It was still cold—almost identical to how it left the table. It honestly looked like they just moved it to a different plate to make it seem like something had been done. There was no improvement, and it was clear the kitchen made no real effort to fix the problem.
What made it worse was the service afterward. The waitress did come back to our table. but rather than address the issue or offer any kind of solution, the manager just shrugged it off and moved on. No apology, no concern, no attempt to make things right. It felt like we were being brushed off and that they just didn’t care. When the food came back to the table the manager said I hope the food me hot enough actually I know it is because it’s steaming.
.For a meal that should have been sent back twice, you’d expect some kind of management presence or acknowledgment—but we got nothing. No apology, no discount, no gesture of goodwill.
Despite the cold food and lack of service, we still paid our bill in full—just over $100. And while I don’t expect things for free when something goes wrong, I do expect some accountability, some effort, or at least a conversation. We left feeling ignored, disappointed, and like we had completely wasted our time and money.
This was not the kind of experience I expect from LongHorn—or from any restaurant, for that matter. Cold food, a dismissive attitude from the staff, and a $100 tab for a meal that wasn’t even edible? It’s hard to justify going back after...
