The salespeople and owner are absolutely fantastic here. They are welcoming and actually engage with you to help find exactly what you are looking for. I saw the perfect gift there for a coworker last week but as I was shopping for someone else I didn't purchase it. I went back a few days later and it was gone and they were sold out. Though the salesperson looked through the inventory and made other great suggestions, I was too irritated with myself to shop so I told her I would be back the next day to have another look. I went back the next day and was trying to find something else when a different salesperson engaged me. I had no intention of mentioning the item again but she was exceptional at asking just the right questions without being over bearing and I said the item I wanted was gone and that I was looking for something else. She said wait a second, ran behind the counter, and to my amazement pulled out the item! I hadn't given my name and there was no way they could know I would actually come back but they had received an unexpected shipment and put it away for me just in case! To say this level of service is unusual is an understatement even for a repeat customer at most places but to do so for a random grumpy lady is a new level of care and commitment. I am now an extremely loyal customer and am telling everyone I can to please come support this local, woman owned business for all their quirky hilarious gift needs!!!! You will be glad...
Read moreMain Street isn’t an easy business—anyone that’s from St. Charles or St. Peters knows that who’ve had the privilege of seeing places come and go over the last decade. Except, the Cozy Shop always stood out to me as a place that strives to be different. It gets it in the aspect of some cuter apparel, but it’s missing this sense of uniqueness. What I mean is, most of the shirts seem to be the same, much like it is at a paint store with the plethora of color options—all different? Yeah, but it’s all kinda sorta the same at the same time. All I’m saying is that the selection isn’t as noteworthy as it could be. A more variety-rich approach to inventory would be extravagant, such as including hoodies/shirts that come in flairs like cursive lettering, oh—and the materials! I unfortunately am not a fan of the materials utilized in most of the clothing here, but that’s something that again would make the business almost impossible to run by—stocking multiple copies of the same thing in slightly different assemblies—like ‘Really?’ almost. All in all, the selection isn’t something to write home about, but it’s definitely something for the right people—just,...
Read moreThe Cozy Shop lives up to its name. Everything in the store is either designed by local artists or artists from the Midwest which is pretty impressive and neat to see. There was glassware, STL sweatshirts or apparel, greeting cards, journals, jewelry, and other great gift items. The space is quite small but has a good layout and is well merchandiser. I went during a fall Halloween fest on main Street so it was quite busy. I like how they put alternating colors of tissue paper in black, orange and purple in the glasses to add to the festive spirit...
