Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge — Restaurant in Saint Charles

Staff were extremely rude. My daughter and I walked in and didn't receive a greeting. We were kind of looking around to see what all the shop had to offer. The young man that worked there didn't even acknowledge us when we had a made a decision about what we wanted, I had to tell him. I honestly did not want to patronize this establishment but my daughter really wanted a Carmel apple so I gave in. I decided not to get anything because I felt like my 10 dollars I spent on a Carmel apple was not appreciated or wanted because of the color of my skin. I noticed how some of the businesses are going out of business, I'm assuming due to inflation. So you would think that every customer would be treated with a high level of customer service regardless of race or religious origin. The young lady that was on staff was equally rude and non engaging. I am 39 years old and I have never not tipped when prompted to tip. I was looking forward to tipping 5 dollars just because I know it probably was a slow evening being a Thursday and all. I couldn't have pushed the no tip option fast enough. They are lucky that I even spent my hard earned money in the establishment. I will never go back. I'll definitely find somewhere else to satisfy our sweet tooth. The ice cream was delightful I had the chocolate chip cappuccino. I would recommend that to all who like coffee. The line was a little long but it moved very fast. The staff was very polite. I will definitely come back to try more flavors. 😁. Update I couldn't resist I had to come back (even tho I live 1hr away) and try another flavor it was the vanilla toasted coconut. It was the best coconut ice cream I've ever tasted. I brought my son and he loved his waffle cone off the Missouri mud (something like that). And he really enjoyed it. I bought 3 solid chocolate bunny's for Easter while I was there they look scrumptious. It's been a while since I've even seen solid chocolate bunnies. Keep up...

Lovely shop, beautifully displayed, GREAT ice cream. All of your young guys that work there are super nice. Lexi, however, needs to pay attention to the customers standing right in front of her waiting to be helped rather than gossiping to her co-worker who IS actually attempting to do her job. Late Saturday afternoon my husband and I had to get her attention and ask to be waited on while standing directly across the counter from her, then after she finally got my cone she immediately walked over to ring it up, completely ignoring my husband until he said something.
