While in general I am not a huge fan of the merchandise (I know life is good, I get it, but when you put it prominently in every product, it detracts from those who have another message that is fairly self contained, for example, the t-shirt expressing that "Not all who wander are lost," has "Life is good", just below it, which personally I think kind of obnoxious in that the branding reads as part of a message that is capable of standing on its own two feet, if the number of Facebook photos captioned with it are any indication), I have to make clear that the products are made of quality material, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and I've never had a bad experience when brought by someone who wanted to browse; it's just not to my taste.
Even despite sounding so anti-Jake's, I really am not as evidenced by the fact that about an hour ago I was convinced to buy a t-shirt with the ever-present life is good eyeballing me from below the main design, largely because of their constantly excellent...

Read moreIt is so small and crowded at this location. Didn't have a dressing room iirc, if they did, it was, unavailable to she at the time. Staff was kinda unfriendly or maybe just not sociable. I'm not someone who bothers staff until I'm ready to check out and they still gave me a vibe like I needed to buy something and leave. The store had a variety of different items - hats, shirts, accessories, towels. I really wish they had more hoodies or sweatshirts. I didn't end up buying anything because nothing really stood out. What makes Life is Good to me, are the cute wholesome shirt with Jake the dog and his owner camping/hiking/etc. The newer shirts they make are just your average graphic tees from Target with wanderlust quote decals somewhere on them, and they're $30-$50. Yeah I think I'll just do my Life is Good shopping online...
