Woods Trophies — Local services in Saint Clair Shores

If you want something engraved other than trophies, go somewhere else. They were nice and got things done in a timely fashion, but charged $20 for 8 words engraved on a small keychain which they messed up. I asked when I walked in if it was something they could engrave. They said yes, then quoted me $20. I thought the price was a little high for the job, but they had good reviews so I said ok. When I picked up, there were greasy finger print marks all over my item (they hadn't bothered to wipe it clean) and the writing was off center. I was told that their machine had trouble holding something so small so the writing wasn't centered properly. At this point, they had ruined my item, and not even bothered to offer to discount the engraving. I am giving one star because if they didn't have the proper equipment to engrave something so small, they should have told me when I asked at drop off. Had I known, I would have taken it to a place that could. And if you not only do a poor job, but also permanently mess up something a client purchased somewhere else, the LEAST you could do is apologize and wave the cost of the engraving to try to make up for it. The side with black lettering was what was originally there. I posted that side to show the greasy fingerprints that were all over when I picked up... It was literally still in the wrapper, brand new when I took it in... Like I said, took my $20, but couldn't bother to even...

One of the worst customer service experiences ever! I dropped my product off to a woman who could barely acknowledge me with a 'hello' let alone a friendly smile. Okay so long as they do the job. She wrote my order up but never offered options for engraving. I had to ask her if other styles of script were available! Seriously?! I'm doing her job for her! She then told me what was available and I accepted that, again without her asking any questions about what I wanted or options for engraving.

Picked up product a week later (forgot to mention it was a sterling silver baby cup that needed a five letter name engraved!) - a whole week to engrave something Things Remembered could have done in several hours!!! The engraving was minimal, something that could have been done sooner and maybe larger (if Woods had told me about hand engraving!!!). Bad business.

I went to this place on a recommendation, believing I would get better results than where I purchased the item. I will contact them and ask them not to do referrals because they can make a profit doing their own engraving, same work and...

I work for a Fire Department in Macomb county and recently had one of our members announce their retirement. This was a shock to all of us because we had very little time to arrange a proper send off including awards & gifts. I called Woods on a Saturday morning and spoke with Trish (I think that was her name), explained our situation and asked if she'd be able to make a metal plate for a plaque we wanted to present our colleague with. Trish took the information I sent her, went out of her way to create a sample and after a short discussion had it made for us in about an hour! I realize this wasn't a typical request, or timeframe and was a tall order due to the time constraints, but Woods came through and we couldn't have been happier!!! I can't recommend, or thank Woods enough for accommodating us on such short notice and helped make a difficult day special for our retiring friend. The quality was first class, the price was more then reasonable and we look forward to future buisness with Woods from now...
