Smoothie King — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

I frequent this location often and always order via mobile app. Sometimes I order well in advance, other times I’ll order via mobile app and pull directly into the drive thru. I do this to earn my points and use banked dollars. Well today, Kristin, chose to reprimand me regarding my arrival prior to the promised time on the app which was 15-20 minutes. There were absolutely zero cars in the entire parking lot which leads me to believe they weren’t busy. I informed Kristin that I didn’t think it would be an issue to pull right in after placing my order since it would have been the same wait time if I’d placed the order at the drive thru and waited. Kristin then took her sweet little time preparing my order, which gave the impression that I was being forced to “wait”. Now as a VP/Manager of a rather large institution who leads a team of employees to deliver EXCELLENT customer service to our deserving clients, this visit left me rather disappointed. In my opinion, the verbiage surrounding the promised time on the app was unnecessary as I didn’t give the impression that I was in a rush, nor were there any customers waiting. Kristin’s matter of fact demeanor almost forced me to no longer patronize this location, however the staff on the evening shift (when I typically visit) gives me faith in this location. So once again, I apologize Kristin for being an inconvenience to you and not meeting YOUR expectation. How dare I arrive sooner than the app promised my order to be ready. I guess I should have forgone utilizing the app and prepaying and instead just pulled up to the window to place my order, paid you, then waited for the same order. Hope your day gets...

I came here once a couple weeks after it opened. The smoothie was horrible. It had like a frozen slurpee consistency, it was basically just all ice. If you are a smoothie place, you should be able to make at least an average smoothie. My friend's smoothie looked like it was made properly to be fair. The menu is also useless. They have a section of high protein smoothies and dont even list how much protein is in the smoothie! Anyone interested in a protein smoothie would want this information. In the end I ended up with an icy protein smoothie with who knows how much protein. Not coming back until they change the menu. Hopefully by then they will have learned how to make a consistent smoothie. Im sick of dealing with incompetent eateries. I just don't understand how it can be so hard to make a smoothie at a smoothie place. Just follow the recipe and it should be good. Oh also the smoothies are overpriced. While drinking it, I thought to myself "I could have just bought a large 3 topping...

I had a terrible experience at this location on 8/16/25 at around 1pm in the afternoon.

I went to this location to redeem my birthday gift. When I arrived to the store it was a long drive thru line but the store was completely empty and there were two people working in the store.

No one greeted or even acknowledged us when we walked into the store even though the bell dinged. We walked in slowly, looked at the menu, walked to the counter and then to the register area where a caucasian male with long curly hair had been standing, working on fruit, filling trays and washing dishes.

He was a couple of feet from us but refused to acknowledge or look up to greet us.

The other person who was an african american female who stayed working the drive thru line.
