We went to Big Lots in Haines City and was told the St. Cloud location has 3 bedframes we were wanting to purchase in stock. We called twice last night ensuring this product was in store, was the price listed and was placed on hold for us. We spoke with Jake who stated he did have only one in stock in a queen (which is the one we wanted). We told him we were driving 50 mins and he collected my husband’s first and last name and time we’d be here for pick up. We arrived after said time however upon our arrival another employee advised us the item wasn’t in stock nor on hold for us and that Jake (Jacob) is a lead currently and he only did everything online and didn’t actually check in store for the item. Jake didn’t speak to my husband to resolve an issue but relaid a message to another employee that another location that is 30 plus minutes away has it in stock but when we called them they said they don’t have it in stock. We were told to wait 15 minutes for Danny who arrived after 12:30pm and after explaining our issue with Jacob he began to assure us this is a normal thing for Jacob and that he even closed the store early the night before. I told him I called corporate and left a google review and he said we had the right to and he understood. He got approval from his Store Manager who said they would sell us another bedframe set for the $399 price. We made our purchase and Danny spoke terribly about his peers and said since you left them a review can you do the survey and leave me a review to which I left him an amazing review. However Danny sold us 3 pieces and stated all the pieces to the bed will come out to that price then during the transaction he said he adjusted it to be a little lower because he was manually adjusting them. We drove home and tried putting it together and found we are missing the rails so we can’t put the bed together at all. We called and Danny said he forgot but he will not accommodate us whatsoever and we will have to pay another $100 for the rails and drive the hour there again. Danny said he will let his manager know we forgot to purchase the rail and we will need to repurchase it as he will not give it to us for free even though his manager said all pieces will be put under one price. I called corporate again to update as Danny hanged up on me after changing the story and I addressed it over the phone. Corporate admitted they couldn’t do anything and we would have to come to the store for a resolution. Big lots is a scam! A complete scam! Their employees are lazy and liars!
Update: we took the drive back and got the rails. Here’s the so called manager who told us one thing and lied to us but claims he’ll discount it to makeup for it. This is the worse...
Read moreI am the customer and I actually wish I could get no stars. I came in because they're supposed to be a blowout sale while the only thing that looked blowed out with the kind of stuff they had their for sale and the whole store looked like it had been blown out. The line to check out was extremely long I waited patiently there was only one cashier. Then a clown named Cynthia showed up to help the poor little girl that was taken care of all the customers in the entire store by herself she shows up and she should have just stayed wherever she was before because she was no help she was rude she was very ignorant and the way she handled customers and she should be fired immediately but I guess she's going to be fired anyways because she's not going to have a job to come to. Big Lots is going out of business. I guess when Big Lots decided it was going out of business they brought a trashy cashier like Cynthia to handle it. Oh wait she said "she was management" that was laughable. Try to learn how to treat your customers no matter if your going out of business. I would warn Upper Management to reconsider about putting Cynthia in any type of direct communication with customers. Please please don't do that to your customers. All Retail Stores in Osceola and Orange County think about how much you love your business before you put Cynthia in any type of contact...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. Went to buy a couch knowing that it could possibly be 6-8 weeks because of Covid. Which we understood. Kyle the sales associate was so unprofessional. I now know that the managers boss was there and she probably won’t be able to talk to us. I know that one manager would sell me the floor model but he’s not here. Now I have to wait 2 hours to speak to the furniture manager. All I wanted to know if the couch was available for me to put money down on or not. We returned and was trying to explain to Robert the furniture manager the situation and he could have cared less. I’m just trying to buy a couch and not learn about the ins and outs of the politics of that big lots. Oh and Kyle told me not to mention his name....
