Great small Spanish grocery store with varied fresh and canned stock with affordable prices. During Hurricane Milton, prior to the storm making landfall, all major chain stores and most independents were already closed, but I needed food to take to my evacuation hotel to ride out the storm. Thankfully, Somos was still open, and I was able to get some essentials. For a store that is no larger than a Wawa, they have a moderate selection on every category. I was pleasantly surprised to find pre-cut produce, as my accommodation's refrigerator space was very limited. I also found laundry detergent sheets, canned vegetables in single serve size, and multiple kinds of tropical juices in aluminum cans... among others: The types of things that are great for single shoppers or those needing hurricane supplies. We were excited to visit this place and see what kind of stuff they have. When you first walk in, you notice that the place smells really bad. I believe why will follow. While shopping, I noticed that all of the meat looked really iffy. I took a chance anyway and bought a bunch. On the way home, I noticed that my car had begun to stink. When I got home, I decided to repackage all of the meat so that I can also check it. Most of it was slimy and smelt rotten. Needless to say, I had to throw out over half of the meat that I had just bought. The market itself isn't bad but do yourself a favor and stay far away...

The team and I came in from Canada to attend the Pan Games BJJ tournament. We stopped at Somos Fresh Market and were greeted by very helpful staff. Ricardo made it a point to come over and introduce himself and was very helpful with everything we needed. He went above and beyond his regular duties to ensure we were well taken care of. I can see his passion for his place of work and how important it was for him to make sure we would leave happy. Ricardo you are a kind soul with good intentions - never change!
