Ace Hardware — Local services in Saint Joseph Charter Township

I go to copy a set of keys, and they don't work. I come back and tell them these keys you copied don't work, he asks, "Did we use that machine?" Pointing to a machine to his left, "uhh I think so, I don't know for sure," and he says

"well that machine doesn't work about 40% of the time."

So, I paid $2.49 per key, (isn't that overpriced? It seemed high to me) for a 60% chance of getting a correct copy of my keys, couldn't use the keys or give them to my girlfriend, (so maybe they were doing me a favor all along?) Drove back there and found out they actually know they have a defective machine and keep selling copies of bad keys! They deserve 2 stars instead of 1 because they were helpful, polite, I didn't have to wait, they fixed the mistake without any drama, the store is well lit, clean, organized and smells like a hardware store.

So if you don't mind a 40% chance of buying defective...

We just left the store. I wanted to buy a Yeti cooler. The 1st sales lady didn't want to help us and the coolers were on a shelf behind her. She called Jane to help. Jane said she was too scared to climb on a 2 step stool to get one down. Jane started helping people behind us. Guess what Ace Hardware... I am going to buy the $600 cooler somewhere else. Every time I go into the store the clerks are so helpful and friendly! Today I went in to get 3M indoor window insulation! I had my measurements and found Mark just finishing up helping another customer. He was so helpful and friendly. I gave him my measurements for the window and we found what I was looking for. He gave me several helpful hints and even drew me a little diagram!!! I went home and my husband we able to install the window insulation! Our Ace store is the best!
