TLDR; rude service, lack of skill, false advertising, poorly done pedicure, cash only, obvious push for tips.
I’m so surprised this place has good reviews. I was in a group of 6, all for pedicures; we scheduled our appointment over a month ahead of time for a less busy weekday evening, after confirming they could accommodate a large group. We understandably paid a deposit since we had a large group, and the place called 3 different times to confirm we were coming in despite us confirming each time. We did not all arrive together, but all before or at the expected time. 3 of us walked in together and one of the women asked us if we were the group of six. Then said, “there’s only 3 of you, where are the rest?” To which I responded, “oh, they’re parking”. She then said, “Okay, then where are the other 2? Thats only 4 people”. I’m like, “They’re parking” and she said again, “okay but where are the other 2 people” and I said, “All 3 are parking” and she was like, “oh okay. Go wash your hands then pick your color”. So we did that. Then we all sat at our chairs while one woman turned on all 6 waters, all which were scalding hot to the point we couldn’t put our feet in. We mentioned it, and the single woman then turned all the water cold. She then shut the water off, the bowls only filled enough to cover your toes but not the tops of your feet. Then all the other women came over who would be doing our nails. No soap or anything was ever added to the water in the bowl our feet soaked in, there were no jets or additional running water, and it ended up draining out over time. None of our massage chairs worked, so we all asked and they switched on a few of ours from the backs of the chairs, but some of us went without. My personal pedicure, the removal of my previous gel polish was painful (which I’ve never experienced, I get monthly pedicures with gel) and she left some behind that shows through the color that was done. They didn’t do any exfoliating or washing, my calves remained dry the entire pedicure which is really strange. They did lotion my legs and feet and gave a good massage, so I can give props to that at least. One woman doing my friend’s nails was getting pissed and rolling her eyes because for whatever reason the color wasn’t depositing on her nails and they had to try 3 different polishes for anything to show up. She ended up just saying, “yeah that works” because the worker was visibly annoyed and she didn’t want to make things worse. The workers didn’t engage in ANY conversation with us until the very end, when they suddenly seemed interested in us. It felt very superficial and came suspiciously close to the time we’d have to pay. When we asked about payment during booking/confirmation, they said they were cash only or took Venmo. When we got there, half the women didn’t know what Venmo was. I offered Venmo to my worker and she said, “I’d prefer cash if you could pull from the ATM we have”. I did just that, and of course the ATM charged a fee, which said, “t-luxe nails charges a $3 service fee to use this ATM”, meaning that money goes into their pockets, which is likely why she requested cash.
At this point, all of us felt uncomfortable and dissatisfied. The least relaxing pedicure of my life and a total waste of $60. Will not...
Read moreThis place has been recently renovated and it looks very pretty on the inside, very clean and all the equipment is new. However the place was way understaffed. They have about 18 chairs for pedicure and 8 booths for manicure but only 6 people working. So obviously there was a wait, even tho I had a reservation from one week in advance and it was MONDAY mid afternoon, I did wait about 10 min. I sat down to get a fill, the technician was almost done removing my nail polish already and I still haven’t received the colors to look through. I had to ask 3 times and only the third time she gave me the pallets but only the velvet set, I wasn’t sure what color I wanted and she was rushing me to pick one from that velvet pallet, simply because she didn’t want to get up to get the the other ones. I insisted on looking into other colors and the nail tech next to us gave me hers to pick from and I just gave up and decided on a color that was there. She finally told me after we were almost done that the prices went up and my fill would cost me $50. It was my first time and I didn’t know how much it cost before so I asked if that was the normal cost or if I had got something extra and the answer was: yes, normal price. I believe $50 for a fill gel is a little higher than other places around the area but if this place was as good as the reviews said I should be fine. Well, here I’m wrong again haha I watch the people that sat next to me also being kind of unsure about their services and prices, and all of the nail techs were up charging them bu at least $10. The girl next to me was getting nail polish change (NOT A MANICURE, just a polish change, and she was charged $30). I mean, if that’s not a messed up already... I don’t really know what else to say but, I let the technician finish my nails, I look at them and I am so disappointed, she didn’t cut my cuticles, the color was very light and it didn’t look good, the edges were all messy and dirty with residues from the gel, she did it so fast she didn’t properly clean the sides. I asked to speak to the manager Tracey but apparently she doesn’t come to work on Mondays. I wish I could come back another time that isn’t as busy to see if they would treat me differently, although I do believe all clients should be treated the same way, doesn’t matter how busy places are. I’m not sure if I will come back, I definitely don’t recommend the technicians Anne, Summer or Jenny (I’m also not sure if those are their real names but that’s what I could see...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this salon as my boyfriend’s mon and I had a terrible experience. I had been referred to this salon by 2 friends so I had high expectations going into it but was quickly disappointed. We should’ve known their cash only payment policy was a red flag from the beginning but chose to ignore it due to my referrals from my friends. We both got basic pedicures with regular polish. The pedicure itself was fine for me, but I know my boyfriend’s mom had a couple of her cuticles nicked. After drying at the dryer for nearly 20 min we were excused to leave by a nail tech. Shortly after getting home we realized both of our pedicures were all smudged. After calling the salon and telling them our pedicures were ruined, they proceeded to tell me it was MY fault for leaving early (after 20 min) and that we should’ve sat there for 1-1.5 hours to let our toes fully dry (um WHAT?!). We have been getting pedicures for many years and have NEVER been expected to sit in a salon that long letting toes dry for a regular polish pedicure. As if that want enough, they also proceeded to tell me that we shouldn’t have gotten regular polish, and we should’ve know better to get gel since it’s the winter and I am wearing shoes and they are at risk to smudge. This is so false considering I’ve gotten MANY pedicures in the winter before with regular polish and have never had smudging issues. They claim they tell all of their clients to get gel in the winter, but there wasn’t one mention of that recommendation to either of us. These were the two biggest issues, but there were so many other appalling statements made on the phone that left me feeling simply dumbfounded in which I don’t have enough room to write about in this review. Overall we were met me with so much resistance and they didn’t take any sort of accountability for their poor execution of a pedicure service… and simply just blamed us for it instead. We’ve never experienced such poor customer service before. That will be our first and last time at that salon. DO...
