I've never been to a Burlington before but have always wanted to check one out so when I came to St.Peters for the Marshalls/HomeGoods and saw one nearby I decided to take a visit.
The store itself felt quite neglected, little to no shoppers and the goods just laid out all over so it wasn't very aesthetic. There was a mixture of nice quality to very poor in products. Clothing for the most part seemed quite nice.
However the customer service and shopping experience as a whole was terribly poor. The girl at the checkout was nice but there was a man who was very inhospitable and made me regret coming into the store. I understand the need to be aware of people who come in and out of the store but he made me feel so uncomfortable that I regretted coming in at all and spending my money there. It was a pity.
All in all could've been a relatively nice store, I found some finds but after this experience I will not be coming back... at least to...
Read moreHow would you feel if you entered a store during business hours and were shown that your time, presence, and money were worthless? I arrived at Burlington at 10:10pm with over an hour left before the posted closing time of 11:30pm. When I asked if this early closure policy was posted anywhere, she responded by reiterating that I was the only customer there, as if I, too, should understand my lack of value to her and the store as a whole. After mentioning I had recently spent a few hundred dollars and was a returning guest, she replied, "I've never seen you before." How is that even a response? While I had never seen that supervisor before, either, I will never forget this...
Read moreNothing against the limited employees they have. I feel like they do the best they can, but the store is always a mess. Shelves unless it's Christmas time are pretty empty or the items are on the floor. I just feel like in the last few years they need more staff to help with their appearance overall. I don't want items that I'm spending money on to be found on the dirty floors or covered in dust bunnies. We used to come here every time we went to this particular strip mall but now we tend to skip it just on the lack of items. And the parking lot for some reason always has dirty baby diapers in it. Like who does that?! Clearly a customer's...
