A Timeless Legacy: A Review of Puleo’s Dairy
Puleo’s Dairy is a true Salem institution, steeped in history and excellence since 1928. What began as a small, homegrown business with Charlie Puleo delivering fresh milk in a Model T Pickup truck has grown into one of the most beloved names in the region for high-quality dairy products. Located at 23 River Street, the dairy continues to serve the Salem area with the same commitment to freshness and quality that made it a local favorite nearly a century ago.
The products at Puleo’s Dairy are simply exceptional. From their creamy milk to their rich ice cream, everything is crafted with care and the finest ingredients. The dairy’s offerings are always fresh, providing that authentic taste of homemade goodness that brings comfort and satisfaction in every bite. Their ice cream, in particular, is a standout—smooth, indulgent, and packed with flavor, making it a must-try for anyone visiting Salem.
What makes Puleo’s Dairy so special, however, is its deep-rooted connection to the Salem community. Charlie Puleo’s dedication to home delivery routes in the area helped forge lasting relationships with local families, and that same spirit of service continues today. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Puleo’s Dairy reflects that legacy, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products to all who visit.
For anyone seeking a taste of Salem’s history, Puleo’s Dairy is a must-visit destination. Whether you're enjoying their rich ice cream or grabbing a bottle of milk from the same trusted source that has been delivering freshness since 1928, a visit to Puleo’s Dairy is a celebration of tradition, community, and the very best of...
Read moreWhen we buy real trees we only go to Puleos. They have beautiful big trees. This year was special we hadn't gotten a real tree in a few years and my lil one pick a gorgeous one out for my moms house where we celebrate Christmas. Today we walked in from food shopping and our tree had fallen over. We lost everything. Sentimental ornaments, our lights and of course the tree. It's now Christmas eve and we have nothing for Christmas morning. Such a sad situation. Not sure what had happened. We know how to take care of the tree. Not sure if the hole was done crooked or what. All I know is where it was drilled it split all the way up and the tree literally split in half. We tried going back up today but of course none is there. So now we are out a tree...
Read moreI really like the quality of Puleo’s dairy products. Thing is, often when I purchase Puleo’s milk or ice cream it often seems to sour well BEFORE it’s sell by date. Not sure why this is? Wondered if somewhere in the shipping/supply chain process or maybe even during the stocking of their products, they sit too long in warmer temperatures. I have noticed this phenomenon even at higher end establishments like...
