05/28/24 RAC Came to pick up furniture we wanted to return. While picking up furniture the RAC Employees became verbally and physically aggressive. Then refused to move the furniture outside. While trying to get the furniture outside damaged the door with the legs as pictures show. Larry then told them to remove the legs. They said let’s remove the door I said I am not putting a door back on for Lindsey. They became verbally abusive and Aggressive. They finally said they would put the door back on. Jayson then walked outside using profanities. I followed him out and asked what was said he then started saying let’s go Larry throwing his hands up and becoming more and more violent. They left without the furniture and told us we had to move it outside which we did. Larry reinjured his knee doing so. Called them to come get it at 1256 pm and they said they would after a few hours we called again they said they weren’t going to come get it until after hours. They then Called the landlord and said we damaged the storm door. Which is a lie they did. The call was above their scope of duties. Today 6/1/24 they Violated the FCRA by calling someone not on the lease agreement discussing collection amounts and other protected information and didn’t even call the lease holder. The payment was made already. They are still charging for the furniture they picked up Tuesday 5/28/24 Received a call from Brent the district manager who repeatedly interrupted Lindsey and would not let her speak and hung up on her. Larry called Brent back and explained that was uncalled for the way he treated her. He then accused me of stealing a laptop which was stolen from me and included in the insurance plan I was paying for. He then screamed you interrupted my family and it doesn’t cover theft. Which as the terms of the RAC Benefit’s program lays out it does. As of 6/1/24 the fur nature was steal being paid for after Rent A Center picked up the furniture 5/28/24. Previously we returned a chair and bought one they had in the back room for 200 cash which we didn’t know that was disgusting and filled fill food toys and dust but the never pulled that lease and we still got charged another week. All these incidents have caused a total destruction on my mental health it has triggered numerous PTSD events night terrors, Flashbacks...
Read moreis quiet horn that I say this first. Customer service at the store was fantastic. From the people that helped us pick out the furniture all the way to the time Victor arrived to load up the truck Like a BOSS all by himself. Every employee including the people I spoke to in the phone consistently showed the kind of professional yet relatable business that I imagine any company would be happy to have. Whoever put this team together did a very good job. My only issue is with the borderline predatory lending practices. True, everyone was honest and I was told everything and it is my own fault. It’s just sad that the lending practices like this exist to keep people in business. In the store, everything seemed like a decent idea and a good way to help someone struggling with credit however, Just a few short weeks after delivery when the full amounts started rolling in, it seemed quite predatory as far as the amount owed each month and thankfully we were able to cut our losses after just one month because of the absolute understanding and kindness of the excellent staff instead of falling deeper into this hole. Every employee customer service and product knowledge I give all the stars! As far as the company as a whole and the people who run it I feel like there is probably more honest way too lease...
Read moreI would get a call about my payment. I kept telling them when I got paid and that the payment would be sent when I got paid. I'm not rich I work from paycheck to paycheck, they would say they would put it in the computer and evidently no one there knows how to do that, because i will be at work and my phone is on vibrate. when I would go on a 5 min break there would be missed calls from them with messages left in my voice mail about my account needing to be paid and when I call back I get a different person tell them exactly what I told the first person and that they said they would put a note on my account and this person would say there's no note but they will put one on there and the next day my phone is blown up with calls from them again while I am at work. I am just going to start dealing with the manager because no one seems to know how to do there job there other than this issue it's a really great place theanager just needs to get his employees added out...
