Walgreens — Local services in Salina

I have been a loyal customer of Salina, Ks. Walgreen Pharmacy for over 12 years. However during the past three or four months have found their service going downhill. Yesterday took the cake and I may be looking for a new pharmacy, not that Walgreen's will miss one customer. I took a prescription in to be filled and to pick up another prescription that was ready. The clerk took my prescription and asked the pharmacist if it was in stock and it was. I then told the clerk I would wait on it, which the usual time is around 20 minutes or less. The pharmacist come over and abruptly said, well it will be at least on hour for your wait time. I then went on to other errands and returned one hour and 20 minutes later. The pharmacist informed me that it was not ready and that the pharmacy tech was at the time counting out my pills. After another 20 minutes of time my prescription was ready. Went to the car and found my groceries getting warm and ice cream starting to melt. It would be unfair to rate all the pharmacy employees with this one bad expierience. One the the techs who was not working yesterday, by the name of Debbie is tops and always ready to help and keeps the flow going. Debbie has been there for many years and should be promoted to pharmacy manager due to her diligence. CVS will be open soon and another expierence like yesterday and it may be...

Used Walgreens for the last 30 years and now am done with them. First of all out of nowhere they can't seem to keep my info on file so I have to give it to them every single time I go to pick up my prescription. Then they try to charge me for my prescription when I have 100% medical coverage. Then I pay someone gas money to drive across town in 100 degree heat to mention they charged me for a prescription after my medical already paid it. Walgreens says we'll send you a check. 3 months later I receive said check. Today 3 days after I received it I again pay someone to run me across town in a 100 degree heatto cash the check. I wait in line for over a half hour just to be told the check has been cancelled. Embarrassing me in front of 20 people who were patiently waiting for me to figure out why it wasn't going through. Then apon leaving the person I asked for a ride says " thanks a lot! I'm now late for work". So not only am I out a couple hours of time I'll never get back. I'm also out almost $60 and made the one person I know here infuriated with me. To top it all off. I contacted Walgreens corporate to ask what was going on. I got transferred to 3 different people and finished with getting hung up on... Now worst business in my eyes. Not that they would care. Nobody cares about customers these days and don't care how much money...

This Walgreens is by far the most INCONSISTENT and UNRELIABLE pharmacy in Salina Ks. You never know if they'll be open on the weekends unless you check their hrs everyday and I don't know anybody who would find that convenient. I very recently had a script sent there and was set to pick it up on a Sat. However, for whatever reasons, they started closing on the weekends again. Luckily I had a temp script sent to a different, more reliable, pharmacy that is open everyday. I then had to wait til Tues to pick up my full script. BUT, when Tues. came around, they were OUT OF MY MEDS. So I was told I had to wait until "hopefully''' Wed. So Wed morning I had to call and ask if they were going to fill my meds, BRIAN told me that it probably wouldn't be until Thurs. and that I should just ''have my meds sent to a different pharmacy''!!! I could NOT believe that he suggested that. Comparable to going to McDonalds and them telling you that you should go to Burger KIng. Completely dumbfounded that he said that. But ok BRIAN, Ill go somewhere else...
