Updated review:
2025: In order to be honest to my experiences, I try to update my reviews if conditions change. And sadly, Seoul's has changed. The food is still good, but unfortunately, after 5 years of visiting here, we won't be back.
The fact is, its just not clean. The bathrooms, the floor, the trash area, the kitchen. No one is wearing gloves as they prepare your food. I was hoping the past couple of visits were a fluke, but it's not getting better.
My tea came out of a pitcher marked "7/21" and it's 8/3 - way too old to serve.
I understand that a lot goes into earning a customer's trust and their business, and that it's only getting more difficult to operate a restaurant, but this is not the way. I want to be able to trust that my food was made with care, fresh ingredients, and in a clean environment.
2020 Review: Enjoyed the lunch buffet today. $9.99 all you can eat traditional-flavored beef and chicken bulgogi, japchae, yummy steamed rice, and more. I love the simple approach to fresh food. Staff was kind and helpful. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Thanks for a...
Read moreI travel the country for a living and more often than not, I bring my girlfriend with me. She enjoys getting to go to new places and I enjoy the company on the road.
Everywhere we stop for the night, we pick a new kind place to go to dinner. We stopped here after being on the on the road for 12 hours, 413 miles, on 6 horrible hours of sleep and no food.
Everything about this place was just so pleasant and wholesome. The people were so incredibly kind and helpful. I regret that I never got any of their names. The young lady that served us gave fantastic recommendations and advice that could not have been more spot on for what we needed after a very long trip.
We both got the Mandoo Ramen and a mung bean pancake, with fruit teas. The food was absolutely perfect and so satisfying. The soup was rich, and creamy and the dumplings melted in your mouth. The cakes were hearty and really hit the spot.
By far the most satisfying meal I've had out on the road in a long time.
We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning as...
Read moreLiterally my favorite food in town. Ive had a lot of korean food in my day, Joomi hits it just right and even those who dont know korean culture and food can easily understand the menu. Ive been coming here since the original storefront on 9th st. And its only improved since. The soup is great for cold rainy days, and the kimbab is fanstantic for those summer days you want to go on a picnic with. They provide excellent service, Joomi and Tim are always there to explain the culture and make new friends! They care about there customers and go the extra mile to show they care. They have international nights, where they invite new people to share their heritage with customers and its been a huge success! Salina has so many great people, and its wonderful to see what food is unique to them. Just writing this review is making me crave the curry. I highly recomnend you not only go once, but as many times as it takes to find that mean that warms your heart, I garuntee you'll...
