Love some of the stores in here! The pet store is always wonderful as is the Hallmark store. Busches is the closest store to us but their purchaser or whomever makes the stocking decisions is less than stellar. Even years ago in 2001 or thereabouts they had signs saying if you had a special request they would honor it. We requested a product they used to carry (progress o split pea and ham soup) and they finally got back to me and told me to buy the Campbell’s version, that it was the same. They have constantly stopped carrying my favorite products like the petit pots chocolate puddings among other things. Prices are high and they no longer offer a discount if you buy 15 of something or however many it used to be. Still the parking is nice in the whole shopping center and it has a lot of appeal for anyone nearby. CVS and the thrift store and a dollar store are also all adjacent. Though I don’t recommend the dollar store unless you get a kick out of the cashier assuming you are out to cheat them. It’s just an attitude probably born out of a lot of prior unsavory...
Read moreI went to this store for cashier training (I work at the Pinckney location), lemme tell ya I was pretty impressed when I walked in. Absolutely no one knew who I was when I entered for training, I was greeted by a young gentleman in the parking lot who was getting carts, I was greeted as soon as I entered by a gentleman changing out the full bottle bins, I was greeted by the cashier's, then I finally ended up at the service desk (I needed directions on where to go for training), even tho with another customer, I was still greeted and politely told he'd be with me as soon as that transaction was done! I'm pretty impressed (I don't get greeted like that at my store since I work there 🤣)! Here's the thing though, even if I didn't work for this company, I would still be impressed with the interactions I had with each and every associate. The store and women's bathroom were really clean and from what I could tell (before they realized who I was) each associate truly wanted to help their customers and seemed to really enjoy each interaction they had with...
Read moreI love the stores here, but parking lot is in trouble in some spots. I fell here because of a parking spot where I don't know if the pavement was porely laid, but it's basically like a concave hole in a parking spot but not due to damage. It's like it was poured that way, and it was hard to see in the setting sun. Smacked my head on the cement pole at the front of the spot. Having head and neck pain and nausea. Having a hard time finding the contact information of the property owner to let them know about the issue, so will have to try contacting the businesses tomorrow. But all that stuff aside, the rest of the property is typically clean and safe, and I do love all the stores there. They are mostly all long time tennants. I'm not crazy about the way the entrance/exit is from Michigan Ave, because sometimes people get confused about whose turn it is to go or go the wrong way around the boulevarded area, but people manage to...
