Saline Inn — Restaurant in Saline

If I could give this restaurant ZERO a stars I absolutely would. DO NOT GO HERE. In an attempt to support local businesses, my boyfriend and I came to this diner and were met with terrible attitudes the second we walked in the door. Our waitress was rude, practically throwing our menus at us and making a point to mention that we were her “last ticket” before she could leave. Then after placing our orders, while we waited for our food, another waitress (the one with bleach blonde hair, didn’t catch her name) came over with yet another nasty attitude and snapped “can I have those” referring to our creams, sugars, etc to stock them...she tells us she’s trying to get ready for tomorrow which of course would’ve been fine but she very much behaved as if we were in her way. We then watched two young girls be seated in that same woman’s section, and she was SO rude to them we could not believe what we saw! The girls asked for another second to figure out what they’d like to order, and the waitress throws her hands up and says “well we’re trying to leave here!” Those poor girls looked so upset, they were young and seemed so sweet and apologetic we were absolutely appalled.

We understand that it’s no fun to have to work on New Years Day, especially when it is within an hour of closing time, however that is no excuse to treat people that way.

When we finally get our food, I was brought the wrong plate and my boyfriend’s food was lukewarm at best. She brought the correct plate for me, and we noticed a SHORT AND CURLY HAIR right dead center of my toast!!!! It’s obvious when a hair gets into food by mistake, vs when it is deliberately placed and this absolutely looks deliberately placed, photo included. I refused to touch the toast so that it was obvious it hadn’t been tampered with. We got up to leave without eating, and suddenly everybody wants to be so friendly. Too little too late!

Absolutely disgusting...we will never EVER return to this location because of the nasty attitudes and how disgusting our food was presented....and you shouldn’t either! Unless you’re a member of the health department, then...

I am so disappointed with this place! My husband called in an order for pick up and sum parts of the order was wrong. So we called back to report the mistake and a woman, who called herself the manager, proceeded to argue with my husband about what he ordered. She was very rude and argumentative. WHY??? Let’s just call it a mistake and go on with life but she couldn’t. She was clearly angry with my him upon for returning to the restaurant with the wrong food. She was quiet until she handed him the correct food & then said to him very snappily “next time you need to order patty melt burger” He responded and said “I Did”. She then continue to go back n forth with him about what he ordered. Again Why?? Before he left the building he did speak to someone who called himself an owner. He was pleasant and assuring & said he would accommodate my husband upon next visit. Why didnt he do it right then and there? She didn’t have to say word to him, just hand him the food he paid for and let him go about his way. She never apologized for the mistake, she went right in and accused him for ordering the wrong food. My husband has been a customer there for 20 years. Upon returning home he was so upset he just tossed the food away. He couldn’t bring himself to eat it. Why would you argue with a customer about what a customer wants? I guess repeat business doesn’t mean anything to her, Miss Manager. Well Saline Inn don’t have to worry about my husband & nor me returning to that place ever ever again. Poor Poor customer service!!!! Had never been treated so terrible like this in all the years of going up...

I would give the food 3 stars, but the service deserves negative amount of stars! Rude! Incompetent! Slow! Uncaring! and did I mention RUDE! Waitresses made us feel we were in the way as my 92 year old dad and I entered, then when I said we were ready to order she took care of 3 people before us. When the food arrived by the other waitress (who seemed a bit *itchy) she asked who got chicken on the stir fry. I told her we both did! She looked down and realized they were matching plates! Blonde moment!! When we needed to go boxes and a drink refill the bus boy finally saw me looking for the rude waitress who never checked on us. They never actually brought us a bill, so I finally just went to the counter with credit card in hand. Rude waitress asked what I needed, I said the bill. She handed it to me and walked away (like I could ring it up myself!), she took care of 3 more tables and then came and ran my card. I told her I still had to drive back home to Jackson (45 mins) tonight in the rain! She didn't care. I flat out told her that we got better service from the bus boy than we did from her and her response was "Well, that happens sometimes!" Are you kidding me?? OMG!! If you go there do not expect to be greeted (unless rudely told you are in the way), have good service or expect to be out of there in a...
