Food Lion — Local services in Salisbury

08/06/2025 Shopping here has become a nightmare. There is an obstacle course just to get into the store, then narrow aisles, uneven floors and a hunt to find what you need. In the last month the prices of the food have shot up. It can't be the tariffs because Aldi's and Harris Teeters prices have not suddenly increased in the last month. I think we are paying for this annoying remodel which considering the present economy and the financial burden on people in our country at this time seems incredibly poorly timed . Aldi has better produce, much better meat, better selection and the prices are definitely better. This may be a Salibury hometown chain but Salisbury needs much better choices like Publix , Trader Joe's, Whole Foods. This is an update. I really dislike this chain. If it wasn't 2 miles from my house to pick something up in a hurry I would never set foot in this subpar grocery.-----------. Don't waste your time shopping at this location. You will just end up having to leave and go to Harris Teeter. I don't know what has happened but there are so many items that are not in stock continually. Things like canned cat food, half and half yogurt etc, etc. I have asked the manager repeatedly and am told they can't get things from the warehouse. Well Harris Teeter can and this town is Food Lions home base. I am so tired of this. Just go straight to Harris Teeter and save yourself...

Tawanda and Ashton are amazing! Monday July 23rd 2018 it poured down rain all day. I got off work at 5:00 pm and was dreading having to stop at the grocery store before finally going home. I waited for the rain to stop for about 10 mins before giving up and running into the store. I rushed to get my shopping done and I was not looking forward to the walk back outside in the pouring rain with all my groceries. Tawanda was my cashier that evening. As she was ringing me up she commented on how hard it was raining outside. She then said "do you want to use our to go service? We can have someone bring all your groceries out to your vehicle for you." I responded with a YES please and she paged Ashton to come help out. As I paid for my items Tawanda offered me an umbrella since I was going to pull my vehicle up front. This is the BEST customer service I have received in a long time. Does not deserve a star at all. Have been a customer here for over 7 years. Purchased my weekly groceries here today. Back out to my semi to sleep. Only to get woken up by security at midnight, told leave or get police involved. I've always contributed here by waiting to get groceries here instead of competition. Especially since delivering to the Food Lion DC 3 miles away. I've never caused damage or littered ect at this location. I can absolutely guarantee you, I will never shop at any Food Lion store again. This is how you treat Professional Drivers that deliver to your facility.
