Country Donutz — Restaurant in Salisbury

This place has the BEST sour cream donuts!!! I mean they literally make my mouth water as I’m eating it lol. The batter for sour cream donuts is different than regular donuts and they do it best! It’s a more dense, moist and just perfectly fluffed donut with crispy edges and icing. And they’re pretty big! My fav are the sour cream with maple icing. 🤤 They even have this slight flavor I can’t really put my finger, like maybe a hint of cinnamon or even lemon? It’s not overpowering at all it’s just something there that really gives it so much like actual flavor, not just a plain bland donut with regular icing. I don’t know what it is but it’s sweet, scrumptious, and just makes you go to food heaven!!!

Their regular donuts with holes are delicious too! My kids get the ones with cereal toppings lol. They’re not as dense and cakey (dry) as Dunkin’ Donuts but not as light and airy as Krispy kremeKreme’s , it’s like a perfect in between and taste’s like a homemade from scratch batter. They’re also huge!

It is a lil pricey, but such a treat for our family! I got a dozen assorted donuts (all with holes) and an apple juice for about $24. I gave the man $30 all in $5 bills and told him to keep the change but I noticed the register had a change amount as if he had only put in $25 so I don’t know if he even realized I gave him an extra $5 lol. I hope he didn’t think I was only tipping him like .94!

Anywho… the inside is pretty small and could use a lil update, but we always get them to go anyway. The couple who I assume run it are always friendly and patient. We took my boyfriends son into country donutz for his fav treat for being a good boy all day. He was super excited to try a new place, and so were we. Well, we walked in and all he wanted was a sprinkled donut. The man in front of us bought the last one, of course the kid started crying. My boyfriend and I look at each other like hey! no big deal she can just add some sprinkles to a glazed donut. So as he is red eyed and crying we asked the girl “is there anyway you can make another sprinkled donut or just add them to one” her response 👎 “no, they’re already glazed and they won’t stick” SERIOUSLY?! Add some glaze and toss some sprinkles! Wet a napkin, moisten the glaze and sprinkle the damn donut! She went to the back and TOSSED SPRINKLES INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE BAG!! Then hands this bag to him and says have a nice day as she goes back to her phone. We get into the car, I wet my finger, soften the glaze and boom! Made a damn glazed donut. Needless to say, we will never be back and will absolutely not recommend this place. If your employees are incapable of problem solving the most simple situations... it’s time to throw your “now hiring” sign back into the window. Love this place, the variety, the taste and just simply the freshest doughnuts around period! Now I don't just give out 5 stars. For me too do so there has too be multiple things going for you and Country Donutz has that. Its clean,the employees were nice and when I stepped inside to line that stretched around the whole inside,from doughnut case to door (which isn't that long considering the place is pretty small) the employees just kept banging one customer out after the next too keep three line flowing. This is a place I would go out of my way for. Want to impress family or employer's, or how about bussiness associates. Yea I said that, bring them a dozen of these puppies. Let them wet their whistles with these and they'll be drooling asking u where u got them! Stop reading this and SERIOUSLY GO...
