I checked on the delivery after I dropped off my package and the delivery time had changed from my original UPS label. I am not sure why; because it was supposed to be there tomorrow. Saturday between 2-6 pm.
When I arrived there it was 5:50 pm. When I walked in two men were standing there talking between them as I stood there. They never looked up or acknowledged me at all. They were putting a label on a package. I stood there 10 minutes before he acknowledged me. I know the pickup schedule because I ship a lot plus my friend is their normal UPS driver.
I handed the man the box; which I already had a prepaid label on printed and charged to my UPS account. He gave me a receipt turned around and started talking to another employee in a different language, and never said thank you or anything. They were both talking in a foreign language from when I walked in until I left. I did not think he was very professional. So it looks like he forgot to put my package in pickup because as I examined the online tracking it said (we have your package at 7:21 pm on 9/20). He got it at 5:30 on 9/19.
I donât like for my customers to be waiting and disappointed. I strive for excellent customer service. Afterward, I sent my customer a copy of it saying it would be delivered on Saturday 21. So after I found this error; I had to send my customer a refraction telling her it would be arriving 3 days later than the original time. I paid well over $35 to have this arrive on Saturday; not 3 days later.
I pulled my receipt to see what time they took it in. My receipt said it was received at 5:59 pm on Friday 9-20. It also said the estimated pickup date by ups Thursday the 19th; and for them to put they have my package still in their building on 9/20 at 7:21 pm. That is 24 hrs. after they received it from me. So what happened; they were talking and did not get my package on the truck in time.
These were new people in there. I have never seen these men before and it sure was not the people that used to be there. They were always so kind, helpful, and professional. No not these two and there were packages all over the counter in plastic bags. I hope they get the right ticket with the right item.
Also, I was sitting in my car and there was a lady; who had 4 big boxes and made 2 or 3 trips carrying them in on a hand truck. She was having trouble opening the door to get in and do you think that one of them would have walked around and opened the door for her? So it happened the 2nd trip and she struggled to get in and no help from them. I was getting ready to get out and help her even though I have a bum knee and a lady walked by and opened the door for her.
People like that do not need to be in a customer service position; where they have no professionalism or care about their customers. I frequent this place, but since I have had a broken arm; it has been a while, but that was my last time. I will also make my friends aware of this. I know I am just one customer; Researchers also found that for every 25 dissatisfied customers, between 200-500 additional people hear about their negative experience! This means that one unhappy customer may, over time, complain to 8...
Read moreOn October 13, 2021, I visited your store located at 475 Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury NC (Terminal - POS0295B, Employee - 160682) to ship the remains of an immediate family member. The employee took the remains that was in an urn and weighed it; it was around 8 lbs. The employee then proceeded to say the cost would be 240.11 to ship it. There were people waiting in line but I questioned the cost due to it being so expensive. I was told by the clerk that this was the only way to ship the remains that would not take over a month to arrive and get lost. I was also told that by paying the 240.11 amount the urn would take about a week to arrive to its destination. Being that I did not want the remains to be in transit for a month, since it was being sent to a family member for burial, or get lost; I reluctantly paid the amount. The cost breakdown was: $218.97 for USPS Postage, $9.25 for a 16x12x12 box, .65 for tax and $10.50 for packing materials and .74 for tax, sub total $238.72, tax - $1.39 for a total of $240.11.
After leaving I drove to my destination and reviewed the receipt and pulled up the USPS website, I observed that the cost for shipping this item priority mail should have been less that $100.00. It appeared, that I could have shipped it at a lower cost and it would have arrived in about a week. I immediately called the UPS store and spoke with the worker that assisted me. I explained to the worker that I never requested this to be sent by express mail and to stop the process that I would come pick up the item. I was told that I could come back and pick up the package but not get a refund since the money was already paid to the United States Post Office. I informed the clerk to go ahead with mailing the package.
As I further reviewed the receipt, I noticed that the weight of the package was manually entered at 12 lbs. This seemed heavy for the total weight of the remains and packaging. I then noticed that I was charged for a shipping cost of 18 lbs of billable weight. This seemed off, so once the package arrived to its destination I asked for the box, prior to being opened, be weighed; the weight was 10 lbs.
I feel that this was dishonest and I was significantly over charged. I am requesting that this be looked into and I be reimbursed for the overpayment. Thank you for reviewing...
Read moreMr. Robert claimed, barcodes did not work, and tried to get get me to send him my personal email and send him the labels, he then claimed the computer you can use to print off labels did not work, and then when I said so you claim my barcodes are bad you want my personal email and now the computers are down cause I refuse... Suddenly the computer was usable forcing me to print at store and to pay for the labels that are free from Amazon. He then had me go through the packages and tell him which label went with which. Because apparently he cannot read a row of numbers himself. Took me 2 seconds to print off labels and they charged me to use the computer. Honestly went to drop off items from Amazon and what should have been maybe a 2 minute visit turned into a 20 minute ordeal because they wanted me to spend $$ at the store. I'd rather drive the 30minutes to the next store than deal with him again he was super rude from the moment I walked in. Honestly, they should consider new employee. He also is the only one who seems to have multiple bad reviews and issues with scanning barcodes, and the only one who responds to the bad reviews claiming that it was the...
