I purchased a 2013 ford taurus from this dealership back in July of 2015, the car was amazing from the first moment I saw it but they failed to inform me of several damages to the car that I found out after buying it, for example the passenger side mirror has a blind spot mirror piece that at one point fell off so the original owner must have glued it back on, and it didn't look right so they replaced my passenger side mirror free of charge, the headliner has a big hole on the passenger side front behind the visor, I called many times seeing if they would replace the headliner or find someone that can fix it, the service department was very rude about it and didn't seem to want to help me and basically said it's my problem to fix,but the salesman didn't show me the hole in the headliner while we went through the car, other than that the car is awesome and is not the problem here , now my big problem and complaint here is with the service department and the people running it, every time I go in for something on my car that's even remotely small they always give me estimates for over $1000! It's almost like they feel your wasting their precious time,And they are all very rude and don't seem to care about you or your car or helping you and they are all very quick to turn you away, at one point I called in because one of the rear exhaust manifold studs was missing and must have got loose at one point and fell out and service esentually tried to blame me for it when I asked if they would install a new one for me, someone in the service department I talked to on the phone said they would have it looked at and have a new stud and nut installed for me, I get their and they have no idea what I'm talking about, and they didnt even acknowledge that I had called and talked to someone on the phone and made an appointment, and the guy in service I talked to when I got their made no sense when they said they would have it installed but they didnt even bring my car in and he said they would have to take the entire engine out just to screw a new exhaust manifold stud back in and wrote me up a ridiculous price for over a $1000 just to have a few dollar part installed, all the times I wasted my gas driving back and fourth their only to get no where fast trying to fix my car, they wasted MY time, avoid the service department at this dealership...
Read moreThis would have been a five star due to the great customer service of the salesperson I worked with, Joe Cresticelli. I won't change my dealer rating on him because he doesn't deserve the overall two star review that I feel compelled to write about the dealership.
After my purchase, I experienced a situation where I was billed for excise tax in a city I don't live in. This city was the city of the previous owner of the vehicle I purchased from Walls Ford. In my purchasing paperwork, I paid to have my registration, title etc handed by them. The error was on their end.
Because this is a service I paid for at walls Ford,I emailed them and explained the situation. I requested they look into their end of the paperwork as I had already spoken to the RMV and both cities of where the excise tax was due for me. Could not find where the error was.
Julie Wall, the owner or co owner, was the one to respond and basically refused to help. She wouldn't even open my paperwork to look and I know this because of how quickly she responded to my email to say, "not our problem" repeatedly. As I told her, it would be one thing if she had looked into the paperwork to at least assist to find where they made the error so I could know who to approach to rectify this. I forwarded her all emails that I had tried myself, from the RMV to the city halls, and the only explanation is that they made an error in registration. The old owners address is still somewhere on my vehicle, causing me to get a bill from their city that I will get yearly until someone fixes this.
In any case, the 2 stars isn't because Julie couldn't fix my problem, maybe it was truly not in her power to do so, but in her absolute horrendous customer service interaction with me. Prior to this hiccup, I had changed all my vehicle needs to Walls because I was so happy with my purchase and their in house service department was so kind and I do love them. However, all of that is now out the window, I'll go back to my old mechanic, I will not recommend Walls to anyone I know because Julie, as an owner, should do better and I can't in good conscience recommend them or return to give them another dime. Please read other poor reviews that specifically mention Julie. Maybe she will change or maybe she should defer customer service to someone better equipped to...
Read moreHad Walls change out my tie rods in my f150 and do a alignment. Now my Truck is much worse than it was. Pulls to the right awful now. I just lost $400 to them. Hacks I really wonder if they even did a alignment. I was worned by others. I am not even calling them to complain. I should've listened from others friends and family. Just a warning to anyone reading this. Not a Ford problem, just Walls Ford. Portsmouth Ford for repairs is always been good in past for me. Following day I had 2x missed calls, called back after work. They must of read this review, I was asked if I would like a realignment, I said no thanks. , he said it would be free of charge and would be done with the tools that they have available. ( suggests to me they use tape measures for aligning) can't keep dropping off my vechical and calling for a ride, and doing the same to pick it back up. So No thank you. After inspecting the work later the quote was for tierods, not tierod ends. They only replaced the outter ends. This has made me more furrious. The quote I agreed with on paper was not for tierod ends. So now I jack up my front end and there is a lot of play on left front tire. Scammed I got with my hard earned money.
Has nothing to do with my 2" lift on my truck. I had that installed in 2009, and had portsmouth Ford align it afterwards. Never had a issue with my alignment after that. Had tierods replaced by you guys along with alignment. Now when on highway truck feels like it is going to fall apart. Also have to fight steering wheel from not pulling to right hard. Setting up time to have someone pick me up after truck is dropped off, and being picked up again later when done is not easy and is bother some for not just me, but my work, and to the person picking me up and dropping me off. I would rather not cross my fingers in hopes that it could be done right. From my conversation on the phone prior, was not good. I was spoken to like I knew nothing, and was over spoken when I conveied my thoughts on the matter. Sorry about your flu, as for I had the same darn...
