Salon Zazou — Local services in Salt Lake City

Was suppose to have my first appointment with Sarah that was scheduled in advance. I was called by their receptionist to ask if I could come in 3 hours later of my appointment because of personal reasons for this woman. When I show up for my appointment 3 hours later, I was made to wait 20 minutes -- and when I asked the receptionist if she was running on time, not once but twice and was told that she was running on time. At this point I decided that was enough for this gal and took it as a sign of the type of service I was going to receive. When I told the receptionist I was leaving - she asked me if I wanted to speak to the stylist -- well, why would I want to do that -- if she wasn't running late, and I'd been sitting there over 20 minutes, why on earth would I want to speak to someone who would treat their new client like that. The receptionist seemed utterly clueless and I was very unimpressed with the customer service. Talk about a waste of my time. Salon Zazou is a complete joke full of snooty stylists -- who needs that! Save your money and go to a place that actually cares about their customers and customer service. Poor is TOO GOOD of a rating for this place -- JOKE is...

I’ve known the owner, Rhonda at Salon Zazou for over 20 years and even though I don’t live in Utah I make a point to visit every time I come to Salt Lake City to visit relatives.

The salon is always impeccable and the staff very attentive.

Most importantly I can always trust that my hair is going to look perfect once I get up from Rhonda’s chair. She is always up to date with the latest trends while implementing her classic and well trained techniques.

I decided to write this review after my latest visit. As usual I expected perfect results, which I got. And it’s not easy to get my waist long platinum blonde hair to look always even and shiny (shhh my natural hair is very dark brown)

What impressed me this time beyond what I always expect was Rhonda’s diligent attention to sanitation and going above and beyond what is required to keep her clients, employees and other stylist at the Salon safe. Having come out of a strict quarantine I did not feel compromised in any way.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They will boost your ego! They fit me in (by some sort of miracle) while I was at an Air B&B nearby for a couple of days. The woman who scheduled (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name), was so nice and excited that she could get in with Kelly. I understand why!!! That was the most relaxing, comfortable, stress free hair appointment I've ever had. Kelly is so kind, fun, professional, and knowledgeable. We did not run out of things to talk about, in the best way. He paid attention to me the entire appointment (stayed and chatted the whole time my head was in the shampoo bowl). Fantastic atmosphere. Wonderful people. And my hair is GORGEOUS. He is comfortable with curly hair, and my curl pattern is so much better now.
