Susan's Store Room — Local services in San Anselmo

Terrible experience yesterday. Went in with the means and intention to buy. When I inquired about an item, the woman who I suppose is the owner replied that the price was probably out of my range. What's wrong with someone who gives this type of answer to a customer? This woman knows nothing about myself, about my means. I stopped at her store after a brunch, appropriately dressed for the day, so I can only guess her judgment was based on my Latina appearance. Anyway. Luckily my daughter, who I intended to gift with the item, did not enter the store with me to see such poor treatment for no reason. We certainly can find what I was looking for elsewhere, and better, without such rudeness...

Here's the deal with Susan's Store Room: the owner is not a people person and this is her lair. She either likes ya or hates ya and there is not much in-between.

I know two people who have been here. One hit it off with her and got the grand tour, while the other got to experience Susan storming off in anger for no particular reason and literally hiding until they left.
