Very disappointed ! Especially because I was hoping to have a good first experience and come back in a few wks later to finish the rest I wanted done and addtnl services. I went in about 4 wks ago to get botox done for my first time. At first it seemed great, Everyone was nice, price was okay and the place was clean. Obviously as it was my first time I was a little nervous and had a lot of questions. I was reassured I had nothing to worry about, minor swelling would go away in about 15 mins, make sure to not workout or lay down for the next 4 hours and id be good. The affects would last for 3-5 months or so depending on the person ad wrinkles. One thing that caused a little concern was the young lady that was doing my botox told me she was getting certified or licensed and that we had to have the dr come in to give approval and call one on the phone. Afterwards i asked if she was new or not experienced and she assured me she had done this hundreds of times, knew what she was doing and never had a bad reaction or any issues. So I trusted that and got 20 shots in between my eyebrows.
Right off the bat I noticed some minor swelling and redness, I thought no big deal. She told me In 15 mins just dab a little makeup on it; to do it very lightly and make sure to not rub down. Well I was afraid to touch it so didn’t worry about the makeup. The next day I wake up and I have what looked like a goose egg over one of my eyebrows. Had I known this might have happened I wouldn’t have scheduled an interview for the following day, there was also some minor swelling in my eyelids. I contacted them and spoke to a lady at the front who acted like it was normal and no big deal. So after speaking with them and primarily doing my own research I iced it just hoped it would go down. I ended up calling again a few days later and was told the same thing and that it would go down but sometimes takes a week or longer, depending on the person. Of course none of this was discussed at my consultation nor was I told to ice it after to prevent swelling in the first place. It’s also frustrating how the person I spoke to at the front seemed to think it was no big deal as I’m worrying about my eye possibly drooping, rescheduling appointments, let alone it not getting better.
So anyways thank god it went down a little over a week later but what’s frustrating now is after dealing with that for over a week it’s not 3 wks later and now the swelling is completely down it’s starting to look like I didn’t even have botox done at all and this is supposed to last months and I spent almost $200 on one area! For what? Swelling and inconvenience for a week! I feel like I was dooped and used for training. After speaking with other professionals in the field and doing my own research it seems to me that the person who did my work was not experienced enough and did not inject it properly, hence the swelling and limited effect! I am very frustrated! I would call the office but after my experience if calling right after and reading these other reviews it sounds like I’ll probably just get more frustration! Experienced licensed professional should be the only people injecting botox into people’s faces, not students or people practicing! I regret not doing more research! Care more about your customers, be more honest and informative rather than convincing and minimizing to make a sale, let alone only experienced professionals that know what they’re doing should be doing any work like this! I wasted $200, looks the same and am now scared to get it done again! Thanks Beverly hill...
Read moreMy experience at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, specifically with NP Samantha, was deeply troubling and ultimately cost me more money, time, and pain than the initial treatment. I feel a disservice was done to me, and others should be aware before entrusting their cosmetic care to this practice.
Initially, everything seemed fine. The facility and NP Samantha came across as professional. However, my concerns began during my second and third visits. Despite paying a significant amount—approximately $5,000, including Botox and fillers—the fillers injected in my marionette lines using the cannula were excruciatingly painful, an 8 out of 10, even with numbing cream. I was assured this was normal. It was not. The real issues arose with the aftermath. Instead of smoothing out as promised, the fillers began clumping into large, hard, painful lumps. When I returned to address this, the lack of professionalism was shocking.
When putting pressure on my lips to show the whittled out areas where the hard fillers were, the NP made a horrible comment about me having cold sores. I have never had a cold sore in my life. This was extremely rude to tell a client, even though I think she was saying it to deflect from her poor placement skills. Moving on, the process to dissolve the problematic filler was barbaric. During two separate hyaluronidase treatments, NP Samantha used no numbing cream and didn't mix the solution with sodium bicarbonate to lessen the intense burning sensation. She also injected the medication quickly and forcefully, making an already horrible experience almost unbearable. This negligence felt like a punishment for having complications, rather than a corrective procedure. I returned again for a second time to dissolve more of the filler, and had the exact same horrible experience.
When the problems persisted, I sought a second opinion from a dermatologist. I was told the fillers were placed incorrectly in the muscle in the marionette areas and too deep in my lips. My dermatologist was concerned enough to recommend I find another provider immediately for a proper correction.
I found a new place that was open on Sundays. The contrast with the new establishment was night and day. They took every measure to ensure my comfort, using both numbing cream and sodium bicarbonate. They confirmed the original fillers were poorly placed and even corrected the clear, translucent bubbles in my lip that BHRC had dismissed as being insignificant. The difference in care was profound. What this experience has taught me is that at BHRC, as long as you are spending money, you receive the standard treatment. But if complications arise from their poor skills and technique, they treat you as if the problem is your fault.
Now, not only have I lost over half the costs filler placement, but also the additional costs for removal by another company.
Lastly, I have to say the front desk is a mess, with customer paperwork left in large, messy piles. A possible reflection, of the disorganized care behind the scenes.
To save yourself from a potentially horrendous and painful ordeal, I cannot recommend Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center. You will be better off finding a practice that prioritizes patient comfort, safety, and expertise from start to finish, not just when...
Read moreThe new managing physician (Dr. A) reached out regarding my initial experience and was incredibly generous with his time to help discuss the experience and some options going forward. He was kind, humble and knowledgeable.
Stephanie did a complementary laser for the eye area so help restore some youthfulness. She was very personable and well versed in a variety of modalities for facial treatments. I left with feeling confident I could return to her for future skin care procedures.
For potential patients considering Beverly Hills: Look to the recent reviews and not those a year or older. I believe the quality of oversight and care for the client's med spa experience is in good hands with a managing provider that takes the time to interface frequently with his site staff and the customer experience so as to correct issues immediately.
As a client, make sure to ask clear questions. If you feel rushed or not confident in your first appointment, ask them to be precise in their communication so that your personal experience matches up with your goals, outcome, and budget.
For those looking for injectables, Beverly Hills has a default approach to treatment targeting the widest demographic, but that may not be custom to your needs or desired outcomes so knowing that, make sure your provider has a conversation with you satisfactorily covers disclosures, risks and areas they want to treat. This will ensure consent is adequate prior to any treatment.
I will update post-laser outcome.
Would not visit for skilled injector. Having spent time on the clinical side in physician training with dermatologist, there are some best practices this office does not utilize. Such as before photos for a patients file. Aside from this, my experience was not good. I pre purchased a Dysport treatment. I do not care for botox so I knew what I wanted and why. On my appointment day, the provider tells me the clinic doesn't have Dysport. She offers to do Botox instead. Reluctantly, I agree because I am already there and no one called to reschedule me.
