This specific visit was on the evening of January 3, 2022 just before 6 pm. The quality and quantity of my chicken and beef salad were terrible at the Broadway location across the street from the Witte Museum. The evening manager didn't even bother to look at or even offer to remake my salad. For a $10 salad, I would expect that she at least look at it to see what I was talking about. We've been coming to this location for over 10 years. In the past, this Chipotle location has always set the standard for all other Chipotles. However, this is ABSOLUTELY no longer the case. This was the first time we left this restaurant without eating because of the shift leaders incompetence and unwillingness to address our concerns. She also displayed an adversarial and indifferent attitude about our concerns. We expressed how dissatisfied we were with their service on this visit and that we wouldn't be returning to this location anymore. She came across as if she could care less and probably even glad that I said that. When we asked her to give us the name of another manager, she said she couldn't because of security reasons. Instead, she said we could call 1-800-CHIPOTLE to voice our complaint. Yet, the General Manager's business card is located at the register. Overall, this was a horrible experience. As we were walking out, we noticed that an employee emptied out the to-go bag and disposed $25 worth of food we were going to purchase IN THE TRASH. This seemed to give the manager we were talking to some kind of twisted satisfaction. We found that very unprofessional being that she would rather THROW AWAY food rather than offering to remake the food to address our concerns. Read moreI feel like all of the once great fast casual restaurants are now overpriced disappointments. The customer service is terrible. The staff are unfriendly, unsmiling, and unhelpful and the food just isn't worth the price. You can literally go to most sit-down restaurants where servers will come to you actually offer helpful service with more food for the same price. San Antonio has plenty of other Mexican and tex-mex options. I will not be going to Chipotle anymore especially after this last experience. We arrived an hour before closing and encountered all of the employees doing closing tasks instead of tending to customers. All of the food carts were rolled away from the ordering counter and we were made to stand and wait while they finished the floors underneath the carts. Once the food was back up against the counter, they asked us what we wanted. My teenage daughter ordered the steak bowl and was not told that some items were upcharges. When they asked her if she wanted a sauce, she said "queso" but they didn't explain to her that it wasn't a sauce and queso costs almost $2 extra and they also didn't tell her that guacamole costs almost $3 extra. Her bowl was definitely not worth $17. We could have gone to a nice sit down restaurant for less. She said they were here first. She easily could've offered me the same courtesy. She and the men were speaking Spanish. I'm fluent. She was rude, making fun and laughing with the men and apologizing on my behalf. She rudely asks if I want a table or not. By then I had already asked for a foil lid and a bag for my food to take to go. There was no reason for her to not offer to finish wiping down a table for me, or ask me to please wait while she finished. I am usually considerate with service employees. I've been one myself and understand the challenges of working with the public. And I usually offer positive feedback because I know most who offer feedback are complaining. But she was incredibly disrespectful, I opted to go ahead and leave rather than stay and deal with such an uncomfortable...
