LOFT — Local services in San Antonio

On 10/16/25, my sisters and I stopped by LOFT at The Quarry while out shopping. The salesperson who helped us (ID #7014349) was wonderful, friendly, patient, and attentive. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager was the complete opposite. My overall rating is reflective of the salesperson, variety of merchandise in the store, and the management. While checking out, we noticed that an item advertised as 50% off the clearance price wasn’t ringing up correctly. The salesperson kindly asked the manager for clarification, but the manager responded in a rude, dismissive tone, saying, “What do you want? I’m doing something over here.” We were a bit confused because the salesperson just explained the question. She continued by looking at us asking, “I can’t help you unless you tell me what it is you’re trying to do,” sounding irritated and uninterested in assisting. When we explained the issue, she insisted the item was only 30% off, (despite several identical items being displayed on a rack clearly marked 50% off clearance) and told us "Show me!". When we showed her the rack, she became defensive and claimed the item wasn’t the same and offered 30% off again. After we pointed out that the tags and markings matched , she reluctantly said, “Fine, if that’s what you want! Will 50% off work for you?” in a condescending manner. She then walked away, telling the salesperson to “Give them whatever they want because I have things to do.” It was disappointing to experience such unprofessional behavior, especially when the salesperson handled the situation so respectfully. What is up with the Loft?? A few months back I was at La Cantera and I needed a different size and the lady seemed highly annoyed. Last night, I went into the Quarry location. When I walked in, the sales lady from behind the counter walked towards me and sort of just stared at me and walked by. I said hello and she didn't say anything. Super weird. Of course, people can have bad days and I certainly understand. But, then, when I was looking at some of the racks, another employee was sweeping the floors. I understand wanting to get things tidied up when the day is ending. No problem. But, I was looking at the rack where she was sweeping and said excuse me, I'll just be a second, she just stared at me too....no "it's ok, go ahead" or anything. I thought maybe they were about to close and that's why everyone seemed that way but I asked and they said not for another hour.

I always feel sorry for people like this. I guess they don't have a good district manager or something. I don't notice this sort of thing at any other stores. Too bad because I like the clothes but it totally feels like they don't want...

First time at this location and it is 100x better than Cantera! It’s a bigger store, beautiful selection, organized, nice layout, and most of all, better people. I went in during my lunch break (so I was short on time) and the two ladies that were so pleasant. Katherine and Nancy I think were the names but they were literally so sweet, helped me quickly grab a dressing room and then Katherine was super down to earth and not snobbish the way they usually are at cantera.
