The two front receptionist have an attitude beyond words!! They do it all looking smilingly while they give you nasty looks. I had scheduled for contact lens exam and regular eye exam which was covered in my insurance. I made sure to ask them if it was covered and they said you have 0$ copayment so I booked the appointments for my family and I. To my disappointment, when they were doing the exam.. this was my sons first time getting contacts and they had not informed of us about any fitting charge. They told us about contact lens fitting class during the visit of $25 to which I was confused, because they didnât inform of any charges when I booked the appointment. I would have been ok with the charge if they would have informed us ahead of time. In addition, they fussed about the fact that it takes longer to do first time contact wearers (my son) .. and that we shouldâve booked the appointment earlier or given more time!! How was I supposed to know that!!?? Iâve never had this issue and Iâve been wearing contacts for more than 30 years now! Never in my life Iâve had this issue or conversation for contact fitting! Also, why did they schedule us with the limited time?? Isnât that something they shouldâve asked before scheduling the appointment?? A simple question like, âAre you a first time contact wearer??â then maybe we need to give more time to first time wearers! Why was I not informed ahead of time?? They charge $150 + additional fees for fitting! That is insane!
If you donât get the contact lens fitting done and refuse the fitting session then they donât give you the prescription but you get charged for it on your insurance for contact exam!! How is that fair?? Itâs expensive to get an eye exam and on top of it theyâre adding more charges to it!! Just FYI, insurance doesnât come for free.. we pay monthly premiums for it!
I called my insurance company to which I found out they shouldnât have charged me $25 for fitting fees to begin with since I have the high premium insurance. It shouldâve been covered but they have different ways to code for billing so they do whatever they want. I was extremely disappointed with the service I got at this location! This was my last time going there! It wasnât like this when I went the first time this was opened. Definitely donât trust...
Read moreDr. Vu was very thorough and gave personalized, professional attention to each of his patients. He is also mindful of his patient's pocketbook and will try to find the most sensible, cost-effective option for your needs. He knew I was out of town and went above and beyond and took time out of his busy day and walked my prescription over to the Costco vision center, so they could get a head start on ordering my contacts (#runonsentence lol) He knew I've had problems with certain contact brands in the past, so he took his time (and I'm a very meticulous and thorough person) and went through each brand and let me try on brand he thought would be most beneficial for my particular needs. The sign of a good boss is if your employees are happy, and I could definitely tell they were. The receptionists always greets me with a warm, welcoming smile and answered my millions of questions as well lol. One time I stopped by before I went to Costco to check on the status of prescription, and I saw him just sitting in the lobby, shooting the breeze with his receptionist like they were friends. This is a sign of a truly unpretentious and humble man, which is somewhat rare nowadays when the providers are so highly educated. He doesn't carry himself in a pompous manner and this shows by how he treats each and every single one of his patients and employees. He's also a great conversationalist and will make you feel at ease. I can't say enough good things about the service I received here, and I will be making sure my roommate comes here as well once his yearly is due. I swear this sounds like a dating app bio, but I swear it's not lol. That's how much I really enjoyed my visit and honestly, he's just a good, decent, down-to-earth family man. His wife who is an MD could be making considerably more money in a private practice, but instead chooses to work at a clinic for disadvantaged and lower income patients as to help the community. This should tell you something about the caliber of people you're dealing with. Plus, he's Asian, like me. Gotta support my fellow Asians! TLDR - do yourself a favor and make him your optometrist. And no, I was not paid for this...
Read moreDid my homework. Checked the website that shows the do indeed accept my insurance. Scheduled an appointment for my son. Turns out the donât accept it at all, despite what the website says. Even worse, when I spoke to the employer they were well aware of the misinformation on the site.
Not bad enough the outrageous prices they charge for magnified plastic, but going about wasting peoples time because someone is too lazy to update the website.
They wasted my time, donât waste yours with them.

For the record - I berated absolutely NOONE. To insinuate that I did is nothing short of dishonest. Whether or not it is intentionally dishonest or you were misled to believe that I did is debatable.
Please do not try to attempt to make it look like you know nothing about what I am talking about in this review either - your employee was very familiar with the issue - and even went so far as to mention you are "In the process" of getting my particular carrier approved, but had not done so yet.
My review is fair and it is accurate - perhaps you should have a conversation with the employee in question - it seems to me that there are some voracity issues on your end of this situation - someone there isn't being truthful - whish is an even worse look for you when you respond in an attempt to make yourself look like you have no culpability in this issue.
Also - nobody said anything about Costco. I'm familiar with the services you offer - because I visited your website. I offer up the appointment I made as evidence of that, that your employee had to call and cancel.
As I initially stated - I did my...
