My wife, son and I decided last minute to go bowling on a Saturday evening. We figured it would be bit packed, probably a little chaotic but to our surprise there was no waiting. The front desk receptionist was very professional and answered the few questions we had prior to bowling. The cost to bowl along with shoe rentals have to be the best deal in town. They even had a DJ playing some nice upbeat music...and a variety at that. Clean lanes, nice atmosphere and user friendly computer/kiosk...it was so easy to use my 10 year old son set up everything to include his own lane with bumper. Watching the little kids and even older adults dancing to the music as they bowled, hi-fiving and laughing undoubtedly established this facility as a definite go to spot for some family fun for us. Thanks Team Fort Sam Houston Bowling...we'll definitely be coming more often after...

Wish there was a NO STAR option for this place. I called on New Years to double check their hours after reading so many positives reviews . A man on the phone confirmed they are open . We had a 30 min drive on New Years to this bowling center and guess what ? YOU NEED A MILITARY ID TO GET IN!!! I called back the same “friendly “ person on the phone says “ you should’ve known that a MILITARY ID is needed “ now am I supposed to know if I’m visiting San Antonio. Isn’t his/her job to inform people of mention it somewhere on a website or whatever ... long story short !! If you don’t have the ID , which many visitors don’t .. just have fun at another place ! The place was pretty dead for a Sunday afternoon on base. 40+ lanes which is nice, couch setup on the lane area itself which makes it nice when you bring a baby. So family friendly. We asked for league setup of the lanes, apparently it didn't work. Lanes are super oily, which works for some bowlers I guess. My biggest complaint is that only one person was running the front desk and the snack bar at the same time. Which made it hard to get attention for things if something went wrong or we wanted to order food. Sunday is $2.50 shoes and each game per person.
