I have had the worst experience with this office. I first went in to get my prescription filled in April, and still have not gotten the correct prescription on my glasses. They have been made 4 times, and now they are on the 5 try. Trish tries to blame me because she says I do not like the glasses, however that is not the case. I have taken the glasses four times to my optometrist and she says that it is the incorrect prescription it is not the one that she wrote. The first time Trish said it was my insurance company, that they made the glasses incorrectly, I called the insurance and they remade them. That was an error on the doctor's part, so she changed the prescription. The second time, (incorrect again) I took them to my doctor and she said that the prescription was not reading what it should. So again I took them back and spoke to Trish again, and she said they were not going to remake them again, and blamed my insurance. Again they sent them back to Davis lab and again they were wrong, the lens for astigmatism was on the wrong side. So on the 4th time, Trish said they would no longer send them to my insurance lab, they would be made through eyetx labs, and again they were incorrect, and this is when Trish said that it's just me, I'm just not happy. That is not the case, the bi-focal was very low, they put tint and transition so the lenses were very dark. All I want is the correct pair of glasses so I can see and be treated as a paying customer. My insurance does pay a portion of my glasses by most of it is out of pocket. I am struggling with an old pair and can't even drive at night. And the incorrect prescriptions are causing headaches, pain and making my eyesight worse. I hope someone from the office (not Trish) would contact me so that this matter can finally be resolved. I would not recommend this Vision...
Read moreTook my son into the North Loop 1604 West, San Antonio TX location on July 23rd, 2020 for a routine eye/contact exam. From the results of the exam, he needed new lenses for the eyeglass frames he already had. We ordered the new lenses. After numerous follow ups and much lack of response, approximately 45 days later, I received the lenses only to find that they were created incorrectly and not what we purchased. They admitted the lenses were not what we ordered and sent them off again. From there we started the process of numerous phone calls and "let me check with the lab" responses and as of today, October 19th, 2020, I still do not have my son's eye glasses. So I've paid for services and three months later, I still don't have a product and cannot get a straight answer as to what is going on OR when this will be resolved. My last correspondence with the office was this morning (10/19) and told them I wanted the frames overnighted back to my son (who's now away at college) and to refund my money. They told me they would refund the money and send me his prescription (none of which has been completed, 3 hours later). Called my insurance company to void the claim. When I told the insurance representative my situation, he also called and spoke to them, and they once again responded "I will try to get a hold of the lab". Not sure what to do at this point. Both the insurance representative and myself feel like their behavior is borderline criminal at this point. Over the course of 3 months, I have spoken three people including the office manager once, still with no resolution. Very frustrating and I want to let others know that there is something going on over there. All I am looking for is transparency and follow through. If it were me, I’d stay...
Read moreYesterday, my son had somehow scratched his eye and was sent home from school in extreme pain. We immediately visited one clinic that had told us by phone that they dealt with this issue, but after charging us the fee, their doctor came into the exam room and 60 seconds later told us they didn't have the special orange fluid or equipment to do the necessary eye exam. He said we needed to take him to an emergency room, and then to a specialist he knew. Walking out with the sealed letter he gave us that he instructed us to give to the emergency room, which apparently contained the name of his specialist, my son and I were back to square one, him in pain and me out money with nothing to show for it.
Not wanting to spend a fortune on an emergency room visit and then a specialist, my wife and I got on the phone and found EyeTX. Never having been there, we read the reviews - which were good - so we called, explained the situation, and the very kind receptionist assured us they did this service and made an appointment for one hour later.
Ninety minutes later, my son had received a thorough, professional examination, his pain was gone, and we were picking up the prescription they'd given us. And all for a VERY reasonable fee.
I don't write many reviews, but I wanted to write this one because Dr. Anderson at this EyeTX location was the best physician I've ever seen in the United States. Compassionate, kind, and thoroughly professional. In short, he's the doctor ALL doctors should aspire to be.
Naturally, I recommend this place, this staff, and this doctor highly, and we will be...
