Schedule a appointment for my son, and I. It was for 1130 on a Sunday. We actually got there at the location at 1100 since we live 17 miles out from location and San Antonio traffic is unpredictable. We watched five people show up between 1100 and 1110, told my son lets go in and check in. I stopped at the door, when I seen 3 stylist with customers in their chairs already, and the ones that walked in taking up all 4 waiting chairs. I told my son we will walk in 10 min till 1130 to check in. So that is what we did. There was another person checking in when we walked in. I know our haircuts did not start or come close to 1130. I think my son started maybe 1145 and done by 1200, and high five my son and was in the chair about 1200. My son was a basic cut and the stylist rushing left all kinds of hair on his face. I told my son to go to the restroom to wash his face in front of the stylist, she did not bother to offer finishing getting hair off of his face. For myself I was suppose to get a haircut and a shampoo. Stylist asked me be for the cut if I was getting a shampoo, and right be for finishing my haircut. The haircut I asked for was a skin fade, skin halfway up on the sides. Other locations I have gone to use their trimmers and electric razors since they do not have a license to straight razor. I understand this location does straight razor for a extra 15. When asking the stylist about the electric razor she looked at me like I was slow in the brain housing group. I explained to her the other location uses a electric razor when I ask for a skin fade. She told me that is a extra 5. I did not see that on their price list and the other locations do not charge the extra 5. When she told me I was done after the conversation, I got up and thought I was going to get my shampoo, nope she walked me to the register to cash out. She asked me while in the middle of checking out did I want a shampoo. After starting our cuts late with what I am sure is walk-ins or late appointment arrivals, leaving hair on my sons face, being asked if I want a shampoo 3 times and still forgetting about it, and wanting to charge 5 dollars extra for what other locations include in the price I was ready to be done. The stylist name is Michelle. Reason for 2 stars and not a 0, is because the haircut is descent, and the other location had no appointments close to each other for...
Read moreFalse advertising. Buyer beware. I just came back to Texas after being gone for ten years. Knockouts was my place to go for a haircut and a little R&R when I lived in Dallas. But THIS was not the same experience. Knockouts is supposed to be a place where beautiful and personable women provide various barber services while papmpering their guests with an upscale experience in both ambience and personal customer care. I could not be more disappointed. As soon as I walked in I realized that I was not going to be recieving my cut by a "Knockout." I am not going to go into to many specifics, but you get the idea. I was not offered a drink, which is something I always looked forward to at my previous knockouts location. Neither of the two employees looked like they wanted to be there. There was a very somber feel to the whole place. My cut was serviceable at best. Nothing to write home about and definitely not worth the cost. I was REALLY looking forward to this appointment. After being in a city for ten years with no knockouts I was ready for the MVP treatment. As it stands I was so disheartened by the whole thing that I downgraded from MVP to a simple cut and left very disappointed. I will not be back. I say again this is false advertising. You need to remove the pictures on your website and google and set accurate representations of what your potential customer's should expect. I feel cheated. If I could give zero stars I would.
Edit: shortly after writing the review I was contacted by Stacy, the GM for this area. We spoke on the phone and she was very empathetic to my experience. She offered to handle my next service peraonaly at her "home" location in the forum off I-35. This was the knockout's experience I was used to. I can see why she has so many 5* reviews. Although I still cannot in good conscience change my review of the vineyard location I can definitely recommend Stacy and the Knockout's at the Forum. Five star...
Read morePlease educate your staff! I have taken my son to get his haircut more than a hand full of times at this location and usually the ladies are very friendly. When I took him this time, for One when I arrived and showed the lady the haircut that he always gets, she let me know that his haircut was a $45 haircut not a $25 haircut as well as she would not have enough time to do his haircut because she leaves at 5 pm. I let her know he gets the same haircut every time we come. He is 10 years old. She then proceeded to talk to her other coworker loudly repeating the same conversation in Spanish, which I speak as well. She then comes up to me and asks me if I can wait until 5 pm. The first 5 minutes of this was annoying and unprofessional enough. I said fine at this point we just need the haircut. It didn’t take long before he was called up. I showed the girl the same picture of the same haircut he always gets. I sit down and just a few moments later the girl calls me over bc she is concerned about something stuck in his hair. Then proceeds to tell me that my son has one single lice egg in his hair…. I understand being cautious but like I said please educate your staff ! I let her know it’s one little peice of something not lice .. she says “yeah, because it’s an egg” and she refused to cut his hair! So we went to “the good barber” where they did the same haircut for $20. Before embarrassing your customers and yourself please make sure you know what you actually talking about because now we will not...
