I've been to other TJ Maxx stores and the service was not one I expected. I happen to find two pairs of pants by clearance area. I asked two associates on the floor if they could do a price check for them. One said she was on break and for me to ask up front. The other was not willing to check either. I go up front and the nice gentleman asked the ladies up front standing behind him that I needed a price check. One pair was given a price of $24.99 and I brought it up to their attention that they were stained. The lady named Deondra who happened to be the manager said they don't do discounts for stains. She said if purchased for me to take home to wash and if stains don't come off to bring them back for a refund. The other TJ Maxx stores have never given this kind of service or suggestions. Marshall's (who is affiliated with them) does not do that kind of service either or even suggest to try washing out stains. Every department, espescially the children's department, is a mess. There is very little customer service available and if you make the mistake of asking for help you get a cold response that passes you off to someone else that never shows up. I work retail. I work for a competitive company for another company that would NEVER allow its associates to behave or the store to appear as this one does. I know every company is moving more towards online than instore business but this was unbelievable. I will never shop at this stores location again simply because 2 associates couldnt take ONE MINUTE to show me where the toddler girls clothes were or answer about if they sold toddler underwear. I went in to simply get something I saw a couple days ago during my visit and I was witness to a manager speaking poorly and very unprofessional to an employee who was handling carts. I under the seriousness of the situation during these times but I don't feel she did anything wrong and was already doing a great job. He was so rude to her in front of customers and explained to her like a child how he wanted it to be done. I'm sure it embarrassing for the employee. Then as I could not find an item I reached out to an employee who was stocking and she sighed very heavily and directed me to where the item should have been but was not.
