Update: Was told that I would get a $15 rebate for posting my review on here but that was about 3 months ago and still nothing. Bike is still good but them not keeping their word does not look good though.
Oh boy, if I wasn't thinking about the final product while assembling this, it probably would have taken me a few days to put together. They had videos and of course the assembly instructions but I had to look up certain things (like the rear rack, ooh what a pain!) because the paper instructions would say one thing and the video showed something else. Took me about 3 hours to finish since I had to keep stopping to figure out why my bike assembly is different from what I'm referencing. I'd like to say that I put it together all on my own but I had to have my husband help me with the rear rack since the screws were so short that they barely reach the intended holes. Also, I contacted their customer service 3 days ago and they just now finally responded so I'll just update on that if needed.
But after all that, woo hoo what a great ride! I was not impressed when I first encountered the saddle and groaned thinking I'd have to buy a new one since this thing did not look comfy at all. This is one of those times that I have been glad to be proven wrong! That seat is just 10/10 on my tushie. I live in an area with a lot of sloping streets and I did not struggle going uphill as much as I used to. The handles were buttery soft on my hands and the bike just feels sturdy in general. The only thing I'm worried about now is is getting carried away and riding too far off course since I;d be enjoying it too much. I would definitely purchase another bike from this company again, I'd just have to have it...
Read moreThis is the first bike I have purchased new for myself. I was so incredibly impressed with the amount of information that is available on the company’s website, and the details all the way down to how to properly wash the new bike. I hope the customer service is as exceptional as the care and attention that was taken to supply the abundance of information regarding these beautiful bikes. On a more personal level, I was involved in a horrific traffic accident some years back that shattered my right knee and broke my right tibal plateau. Needless to say my physical health has suffered tremendously because of this. I love the out doors, and have pushed my body after recovery to be able to get back to the activities I do enjoy. Some with success, and other activities I have had to give up as my knee just can’t take the impact. Riding bikes on a cool day enjoying the wind against my face was something I had to find a way to get back to, while helping my body to get stronger. After reading the details on back, knee, and body pain, and the options to “fit” the bike. I felt I had stumbled across something special, and the reality of getting back to the trails, and getting stronger drove me to place an order for my new bike. I’m happy to say my first day on the bike trail the afternoon I received my bike was a dream come true. It felt smooth and comfortable, the air against my face melted away all the fears I had in my head about getting back on a bike. I look forward to many adventures with my new bike, and sharing this with family and friends. Thank you for such a well constructed machine, and the knowledge of the website. I truly feel...
Read moreI bought the Sixthreezero EVRYjourney Steel, which is supposed to be good for taller riders. I'm 6'4". Unfortunately it didn't come in orange, just black or gray, but I'm used to not having a wide variety of choices in my size. Maybe someday I'll paint it. The bike came mostly assembled but it was still a challenge to get it put together. Sixthreezero has mechanics on duty you can call for help, but sadly not on weekends which is when I was putting it together. Monday it was pretty busy so after I left a message to call back, I tried the chat feature and it worked out surprisingly well. The instructions seemed like they were written by an expert for an expert, and for a novice they weren't quite basic enough and also the illustrations are very small. I had a little trouble with the derailleur going into 7th gear so they had me take it to a bike shop and they picked up the tab for the repair that was needed. (The bolt attaching the derailleur to the frame was stripped and had to be replaced.) Nothing is perfect and I don't expect it to be, but when things go wrong Sixthreezero stands behind their product and makes everything right. I love riding my beach cruiser around town, to the gym, to the store... it saves a lot of gas money and it's great exercise, too. If I had it to do over again I would buy another bike from...
