The Manager Matthew Kandell in C-level doesn't know how to treat a service dog and person with disability
We tried to dine in your beautiful restaurant on March 20th afternoon. We brought a service dog with full certification and ID. However, the manager Matthew Kandell gave us a hard time since we entered the restaurant. We showed the service dog iD to him. And when he lead us to the seatings, our service dog pee near the trees and grass area. Then he asked in a weird tone: I didn't expect your dog to do that. And he was trying to argue with me that he can't do that with Matthew's eyeball rolling up. After we sat down, all the servers are really amazing and they even brought water to my service dog. However, as we were trying to enjoy our calamari, Matthew came again and he saw our dog was standing there and the mouth accidentally touch the table. He said with a weird tone again you can't let your dog do that. At that moment, we decided not to dine in here . It is definitely a shame for your group to have a manager like him especially under the circumstance that we showed all our documents for the service dog. He has to understand how he treated a service dog and the customers with...
Read moreWe enjoyed eating in The Prado Bar for years but have not been able to dine there since pre-COVID. On December 13, 2023, four of us went to The Prado Bar for a light meal. I was very much looking forward to your fabulous Fish Taco plate. We were sad to learn that the light menu is only available during lunch. We ordered four entrees from the dinner menu. We were very disappointed with the food. Two of us ordered the fish entree, and both were overcooked and cold fish. One of us ordered the short ribs; there was little meat on his plate. The fourth person ordered Mary's chicken, which was prepared well. It was cold sitting in the bar with the doors to the restaurant and patio wide open. There was a good wine and beer menu, which we enjoyed exploring. The service was as excellent as always, as was the ambiance.
I realize that post-COVID times are a big challenge for restaurants. I wish you still had the happy hour menu food choices available between 5 and 7 PM. We will not be going back to The Prado Bar for a dinner...
Read moreI am bringing a "group" of 48 to SD in Nov and would have loved to eat at one of your different restaurant's each of 5 nights. I do not want group seating, simply staggered start times - whatever works for you will work for me. I don't want pre selected menu's or one bill - effectively want to be treated as 6 tables of 8 kind of thing or 10 tables of 4 and one 8, whatever is good - first couple can start at 7PM, last can be 8PM - we are completely flexible. I was told NO by your Coasterra Restaurant - was told we had to be a group with minimum spend, private room etc. Was ignored by your VP Op's. I don't get it - you just lost $30,000 in revenue and 2 of the nights were Tuesday and Wednesday. You never know the business you have lost unless someone tells you. Someone should have...
