Professor Charles Ambers is an amazing, knowledgeable man of History. He has an extensive collection of African artifacts and furnishings that transport visitors through History. We were welcomed by him with humor and a passionate storytelling tale of history reminiscent of old African Storytellers. This tiny museum was packed with everything imaginable from the countries of the Motherland through the countries of Latin America. The influences of African men and women were threaded throughout the display cases and rooms of the museum. Read moreI stumbled upon this gem of a place while looking for parking in Old Town San Diego, and had to go in. I was fortunate enough to have a private tour with the professor (the curator) himself. This museum boasts a plethora of collectible items, from around the world, books and historical moments in black history, as well as other minority movements integral in getting the resting of society's awareness and understanding that inequality will not stand.
